  • MFP certainly isn't known for it's acceptance of lgbtq people, concerns and topics. When I first joined a few years ago, before groups were created, threads with an lgbt flavour were continually locked because they were "too controversial" which was ridiculous because the threads that I saw and were part of were simply…
  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have actually finished my clinical training and am working but still have the dissertation to go to gain my masters. I'm writing on envy in the therapeutic relationship.
  • So checking in for this week... -I haven't got back to the pool yet since I have been sick but I have been for 2 walks and one run this week -My chocolate situation is possibly more out of control than last week, when I said I needed to turn it around last week I didn't mean in this direction. I think I need to get a bit…
  • Nice! Sounds like things are pretty much on track. I should probably take a leaf from your book and also stick to my planned research schedule, or I should make a plan and then stick to it or this dissertation is never going to get off the ground
  • Welcome! :-D Good to have you with us
  • Hello Hello, I'm a little out of sync because of the time I took out being sick but today I did week three, day 2: 20/25/15/15/max - 30 Phew! It was pretty tough! 30 is the most that I have done at the end of a session so pretty pleased with that, yay!
  • Weekn3, day 1: 14/18/14/14/max - 23

  • It's great having all you guys on my swim team, thanks! I usually swim 3-4 times a week but I've been sick for the last week or so, hence there's been no action from me lately. Hope I manage to get back to it soon! I miss the pool :-(
  • Oh I see I personally prefer the endurance stuff to the intervals and sets myself so wouldn't call that boring, but can understand where you're coming from. How far do you swim for Alcatraz?
  • I might try the vegan version using cashew nuts, although that will probably bump up the calories. Looks intriguing!
  • Sorry my brain is a bit slow today, that should have read 60 minutes 3x this week
  • I'm a bit late checking in this week but I have a good excuse - I've been sick, and actually I still am. To review my goals... 1) Exercise has been down this week, I managed 3x 60 minutes per day before I fell ill 2) I've overdone it on the chocolate so I need to refocus on that one this week 3) I've lost 2.1kg, probably…
  • The percentage increase sounds like a great idea - I would be due to take the exhaustion test about now but instead I'm on bed rest for the time being. Doctor thinks I have either strep throat or glandular fever, I get the test results in a few days, I'm hoping for strep. I'll rejoin once I've recovered
  • I quit smoking a little over two months ago
  • Week 2, day 2: 14/16/15/14/max - 25 I accident,y did too many in the 3rd and 4th sets then didn't have much steam left for the last one. Definitely getting better at this though :-)
  • Was really resistant to doing this today but the idea of adding my post to the thread spurred me on Week 2, day 1: 14/14/10/10/max- 29
  • Friend request sent
  • Cool, looking forward to seeing everyone's swims. Jeremy, what makes your swims boring?

  • Awesome, I have followed you all. Should be able to just follow me back but otherwise: paceclub.speedousa.com/swim_team/users/fiona-something
  • Week 1, day 2: 10/12/8/8/max-28 Kind of surprised myself with that 28, could be that I did them just after I woke up so I was too bewildered to realise I was tired
  • Awesome thanks! Anyone else? The more the merrier

  • Week one, day one: 10/12/7/7/max - 15
  • Push ups are already part of my exercise routine and I have done this program in the past although I never made it to 100 in one go. So sure, count me in. I'll do the initial test tomorrow but I'm guessing I'll probably be in the middle column. That said I will be doing knee push ups as I have a problem with one of my…
