A fair amount if time has passed since I was regularly on MFP. It's been a busy year with lots of changes and lots of success (especially on the work front) but it's time for me to refocus on my health and fitness. Using MFP and especially staying in touch with people in this group has always helped me to do that so here I…

My girlfriend talks about this all the time. It definitely helps according to her. Good luck! :)

I feel like it used to be more active. Starting a thread as you have done always helps :)

Doh! I can so relate. I'm doing well today so far though

Sounds like lots of fun @smurfette2139 @nuttyengineer I made pancakes the other day, they were good but next time I definitely need to try that! @ryanp_942 I'm cutting out alcohol for the month of May too, summer certainly is coming! Glad to hear someone else will be in the same boat as me. And my check-in... I'm feeling a…

Hi everyone, I haven't been around much lately. My running training has been going great but there's been no movement on the weight loss and I'm not feeling particularly motivated on this front. I got a little worried that I might be gaining but had the opportunity to weigh myself yesterday and I'm the same weight so…

It's foggy here, but that's okay with me. I actually got burnt a couple of days ago, still adjusting to it actually being spring. My running training is going well but my eating hasn't been spectacular, I need to refocus on that so that I can loose some weight and fit into my summer clothes. Wish me luck!

Welcome back to the world of the living @bhagarmckee I had a really fun weekend, party on Saturday night and 16km (10 mile) long run on Sunday which was the best weather we've had here in many months, sunny and beautiful.

Hey everyone, I've been off track the last week but getting myself together again now. At least I have been able to maintain my running training and I'm looking pretty good for the half marathon I have in 6 weeks. We've entered what seems like the rainy season here, Spring, which I am finding a bit trying but looking…

@bhagarmckee it's so great to be welcoming spring isn't it! It's also a slow process here but oh so exciting when it starts to happen Must me the day for salmon; I made smoked salmon pasta for dinner just now. My wife loved it ...yusssss!

Hope you're feeling better today Welcome! Oops re the gym, sounds like you're all ready to rock and roll though. At least you've had some good reasons, I seem to be going over a lot myself at the moment and no celebrations in sight. Time to regroup I think @nuttyengineer nice job with the aerobics! I went for my long run…

@bhagarmckee welcome and great job with your weight loss and fitness  I just got back from my morning run. It was the warmest it's been since I arrived here 5-9 degrees Celsius so that's pretty exciting. My energy levels seem a bit down though and I've been wondering whether I am fighting off a bug the last few…

Dancing was awesome, always so much fun. I just got back from my morning run, felt like I was dragging myself along a bit today but now I feel great. Hope everyone has a good day :-)

@Scudder76 Wow! That looks really cool. I want to do that! How did you train? I've always liked cycling but the exclusive feeling radiating off road cycling clubs put me off, this sounds much friendlier and I like endurance sport. Did you mean that you will be riding through Toronto?

Good morning, or afternoon Nice job with the running @sweetleilanimae its grey and overcast here in Toronto today too @schneizilla I'm trying to concentrate on doing some work at home but its not going so well so far, my concentration levels are down and all I feel like doing is eating a horse ...made out of chocolate. I…

Oh my goodness, I can so relate to those days when my inner ravenous monster comes out. It's not the case today thank goodness but I did have one very delicious donut the other day and I keep thinking about it. That experience will keep me going on donut fantasies for some time! Whats the bike event? Best of luck to you I…

Thanks man. I am feeling better today. Some good coffee and music will do that.

Welcome! I love running myself, sometimes its hard to get out the door but almost inevitably I end up enjoying myself
-
Thanks, I have been feeling pretty down about it. That was pretty much my dream job *sad face*. I decided that 2 days curled in a ball without leaving the house was enough (actually that's not true I went to the store yesterday to get chocolate so technically did leave the house). Today however I went for a 7km (4.3mi) run…

Yes, great job Karen! I'm back from New York, had lots of fun but unfortunately arrived back to the news that the job I had semi-started has fallen through :-( Have been regathering myself and will restart the job search tomorrow,

Ryan! I didn't see your post before, that is hilarious! I can so relate with the drunken pizza dialling, can't say I have ever fallen asleep waiting for it though. Nice one

Welcome! Glad you are joining in :-) Incidentally I had spinning this morning too. It was a new class that I hadn't been to before and Oh... My .....God! I realised I was in trouble when I got on my bike, looked to my right and saw the instructor for the Saturday morning class which is the one I have found most hard core…

P.S. I am really enjoying this thread and hearing from everyone who contributes, it gives me a much better sense of who I am in this group with. Go us!

Hello everyone, I've been having a much busier time than I was but still managing quite a variety of exercise. I went to No Lights No Lycra on Monday night. If you haven't heard of it Google it, but basically it is dancing in the dark. The idea being you can really let rip with dance moves and not be bothered about what…

Hello everyone! I'm recovering from a mammoth effort this morning. I ran 11km (6.8mi) then walked to the gym (30 mins), took a hard core hour long spin class and then walked (45 minutes) to the awesome sushi place near me. Mama mia! I think I will have my legs up for the rest of the day Haha, I have been wanting to see…
