Hello everyone,

I am a new runner. I have been running since April of this year (5 months), but it's something I've been wanting to do for years now. A few years ago I downloaded the MapMyRun app and decided I would start running. I barely used it (was shy).

Now that I more serious about running, I want to add friends on the app for feedback and for accountability. I workout about 5 to 6 times a week and most of my running is done at the gym. Running on the treadmill is just so mind numbing for me. I keep looking at the stats or staring outside, or risk falling by staring at the TVs that are placed too high. I feel like if I ran outside more often, I would be making better running progress.

I live in Montreal (Canada), and there are only a few good running months left before the ground is covered in 2 feet of snow and ice. So to give myself an extra push, which probably will make it easier for me to start running outside again in the spring, I need to add some accountability buddies on MapMyRun.

ALL are welcome! Fellow newbies, seasoned runners, veterans... Anyone who runs.

My name on there is Tatiana Petit, and on my profile picture I am wearing a red scarf, I should be pretty easy to find.

Feel free to add me or send me your information (username or e-mail) to add you.

Looking forward to being your virtual running buddy.

Hey there! I received and accepted your request. Were you a runner before or did you just start? Eight weeks doesn't sound like a lot of time, so you better get cracking. I'll be there for support and feedback on the app.

Will you be doing a run-walk for the half marathon or are you planning on trying to run the whole way?

Hi there!! I've been running for a while but have stuck to 5ks, 10ks and triathlons. Planning to start marathons soon!! I love giving encouragement to others who are starting out!!! It's a very addicting sport and so much fun too!! Good luck to you and add me if you'd like!
