Yesterday, Jean and I were out and about several hours taking in the sunshine. Diet-wise I was extremely vigilant to take care of a couple pounds I noticed creeping up. I still weigh daily and don’t go crazy with minor fluctuations – but I do know when to put on the brakes. Got to the gym at opening today (7am). Pretty…

Headed for BlinkFitness at 5am, Wegmans at 6:15 am for groceries, home by 6:50 am to watch Episode #4.2 of Grantchester LOL (we will likely finish Season 4 today) – sadly only 6 Seasons to watch right now. Today will be the last “real nice weather” of mid 50’s then it’s back to 20’s etc. (pic). Definitely hitting the road…

Yesterday was awesome. Great weather...Long ride and outdoor walks. Got our Covid shots…not a big deal, just a tiny bit of arm soreness late in the day. Had to use rt arm, as I fell at the gym on Monday (walking fast and hit edge of treadmill) and hurt left shoulder. Arthritis in knee joints hinders movement so it was…

You never know how a day is going to start out or end. Last night I found out Walgreens had appts avail for “the shot” – Pfizer. I was able to sched 2 appts back-2-back for us in 1 hr from now! So this will be quick. Went to the gym this morning and then home to catch our granddaughters birthday announcement on TV. I…

My total weight loss over nearly a 2 year period was 240 pounds. I weigh in daily as it allows me to catch weight gain before any serious escalation. (My IF/low carb/low sugar lifestyle began 5/13/19)

Mornin’ Mornin’ – Chilly but the sun is out in all its glory. Gym done and we already watched an episode of Grantchester by 8am… should be into Season 3 later today…binging for sure. Looking forward to great weather tomorrow and perhaps a nice walk outdoors. I was able to move up my covid shot online at 5am today from…

Back from errands! Lin – I love the way you say “interesting people” LOL… I just tell them they are crazy and I hang with them just so I look more normal. Ha ha ha. I do come from a large family (many I still have not met in person, given they live in AZ etc and I haven’t been back there to visit since 1991. It’s sort of…

A quick pop-in to say alive and well. Busy weekend and also intentionally disconnected from internet 50% of the time. Celebrated Granddaughters & son-in-law birthdays Saturday with food, games etc., Sunday we did get hooked on Amazon Prime PBS “GRANTCHESTER, a young vicar and a veteran cop join forces to solve baffling…

Moving in slow motion today. Awoke at 4am then fell back to sleep. Didn’t go to gym til 8am (and that is super late for me). Made an updated (hear, speak, see no evil) mirror composite. Worked on some fun projects and overall plan to chill today. Great steak (2 oz)/salad lunch (232 cal.) with Jean - she makes a mean…

Good morning all… the sun is shining and temp to hit 40…so we’ll be taking a ride when Jean gets back from bringing “her friend” to the dentist. Gym done and meal prepared for lunch or dinner not sure which (pic). Yesterday was long. As noted yesterday, Uncle Jack’s dog (13 yrs old) was seriously ill and spent night at…

Good afternoon ladies. Got my butt out the door just before 5am to be at the gym opening time…good time, but it was freezing with icy roads. Right now the sun is out but still pretty cold. Jean had to use the computer this morning for a ZOOM group meeting re: the background checks, fingerprints etc. they do for church…

A quick check-in before Jean brings her “friend” to the dr’s at noon and I have some errands to run. Happy Monday to all…. It was a busy weekend with gym, walking, cleaning, grocery shopping, ton’s of Youtube’s (instructional, current events, bio’s and an old interview with Mick Jagger when he was in his 30’s - smart guy…

Good afternoon all… Morning was uneventful and yesterday was just great to get out in 50 degree weather…as planned we browsed Martin’s Amish Furniture, walked Waterloo Premium Outlets…I splurged on some sneaker laces (my only purchase) and then Magee’s Diner – we got Chicken quesadilla. Today’s lunch was a simple Buffalo…

MORNIN ALL! – Early post Came out of the gym this morning and the sun shining over my car says it's going to be a Ferris Buehler kind of day! "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." A heatwave day (1 day special) with off/on afternoon showers. So we’ll be heading out…

Good afternoon Sneakers - Not a horrible day, but no sun. Gym was good as usual. Tomorrow we might take a ride to the Waterloo Premium Outlets just to “get out” and take advantage – the temp should hit close to 50! – for 1 day. Lunch was NY Strip Steak, 3 oz; broccoli and cauliflower & small side salad… Another longtime…

Whew…. Going to go back later and try to catch up on posts I missed…had issue and got MFP message of a “problem.” Photo restorations completed. Normally it’s a single photo, but this time it was a half-dozen. Back to some normalcy with some things to catch up on today/tomorrow. Temp in low 30’s that actually feels warm…

Just a quick check-in to say “Hello & Good Morning” – Had someone from out of state ask me last Tues night to do a half dozen photo restorations "they need by tomorrow afternoon." … so will likely be absent til the weekend! Hope everyone is healthy and happy. Freezing here but nothing atrocious snow-wise. So no complaints.…

A HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAT TO ALL ! After gym, went for a few grocery items….noted NY Post was reporting on Corrupt Cover-up Cuomo and unnecessary killing of nursing home patients…Flower case display was also offering “heart-shaped” containers of steak for $28.00 (LOL). Finished shopping and while at check-out the alarm went off and all customers had to…

Well it was a FREEZING early morning, but the sunrise was sweet. Picked up a few “side-dish” fresh veggies at the grocery store after a 3 mile treadmill walk. Back home for clean-up and some chores. For lunch I will make my own low-carb coleslaw – but also going to treat myself to 4-5 oz piece of fried haddock (something I…

GOOD AFTERNOON SNEAKERS - Sun is out, roads are clear and only snowed a little at 6am when temp was in the teens. Got some great Valentine’s Day cards/notes from the grandkids yesterday. Called them last night - awesome. The love they show us and each other continues to amaze me. Earlier my daughter had texted me that the…

As Mark Twain said: "The rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated?" Been working on a couple projects, still walking daily and eating low-carb etc. Today will be some kind of taco salad concoction. It’s a 30 degree kind of day with an 18 degree “feel like” temp and 2-3 inches of snow expected. All and all not too…

A different kind of morning. Up at 4:30 to be at gym by 5am so I would be home before 6:30 am to greet our nephew (#1 school bus driver) – today is his birthday. We knew he couldn’t stop the bus but had a sign to hold up. Got home before 6:30 and Jean had shoveled the driveway! What a woman! As it turned out, we didn’t…

In the words of Simon & Garfunkel – “Slip sliding away, slip sliding away…You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away.” That was my morning. And then it was onto turkey/bacon lunch prep etc. Lots of people I know working / schooling from home after switching virtual schedules. We are hibernating.…

The morning flew by. 5:30am dropped off “Valentine’s Day” bag for the grandkids (T-shirts, window gels etc.). Then grocery shopping with no customers (60 seconds after open). Back home – baked some fresh turkey breast and veggies for lunch. Had purchased movie tickets last week for tomorrow morning – but now a morning snow…
