Really? There's no entry on this site for coconut meat? Odd... I'd estimate 150-250 cals for a half cup. I saw it one time on a package (still fresh, not dried coconut) and I remember the numbers went something like that.

You didn't have to eat the whole cupcake...I mean, just eat a few bites, half even, then toss the rest. You just ate a restaurant dinner--it'd be easy to say you were too full to have another bite. The friends I hang with in my group wouldn't think it was any big deal. You participate, have your couple celebratory bites,…

I've been struggling with this too. I always had a piece of dark chocolate and some milky coffee for breakfast, but got nagged over how bad that was for me. I eat breakfast now and am ravenous 30 minutes later.

Umm, coffee's actually pretty good for you. Lowers your risk of type 2 diabetes, discourages development of gallstones, colon cancer, Parkinson's and liver disease. And improves cognitive function. http://www.health.harvard.edu/press_releases/coffee_health_risk I really don't understand why it got such a bad rap in the…

I definitely do. I mean, I don't skip meals either, but I definitely try to eat less. I notice a lot of skinny people eat this way. My size 4 friend never eats lunch (maybe an orange or a cappuccino instead) if she's going to have a big restaurant meal later that night.

My goal is 1400 exactly and I have TONS of trouble sticking to it if I don't exercise. Unfortunately my pool just reduced hours, and that was my main exercise, so I'm only doing 4 days a week now vs. 6. 2 extra days of 1400 calories has been killing me... I might go to land training for a day or so to cover it. But I hear…

Oh yeah I forgot about processed meats. It's been so long since I had icky packaged ham! That stuff used to make me feel blah-ish too, especially if it's the really cheap kind. High end Spanish and Italian hams are "processed" I guess, but I don't know, maybe the decadence and the lightness of my wallet makes me giddy…

The Ancient Egyptians were /very/ dependent on agriculture. Just sayin'. They lived off beer and bread, pretty much.

This mostly happens with sugar for me. If I've been cutting down on sugar, once I eat sugar again I get this saggy feeling all over my skin (even if it's not really sagging) and generally feel uncomfortable. Not to mention the jittery twitching. Then I feel blah-ish for the rest of the day. Salty and greasy foods, however,…

There's a traditional Chinese dish that I can just eat over and over and it takes 15 minutes to make (because you have to wait for your rice cooker). Tomato and egg sounds weird I know but it's amazing! Basically: start up rice to cook. On medium heat with olive oil, break 2 eggs into frying pan and scramble them up. Cut…

I think low carb is a very successful way of eating, but most people who manage to keep at it generally do it because otherwise they'll become extremely ill (diabetics). It's not an unhealthy way to eat though. People assume you can't eat veggies or anything like that...but really you can. Eating natural low carb helps…

Morbid obesity is not caused by eating a higher fat diet. If you look at the trends in the US government's site, statistics show the amount of fat we've been eating has gone DOWN, while carbs are up. Ironically, this starts just about the time obesity skyrocketed. Listen to your grandmother (we might have to go further…

Plain yoghurt (sometimes greek, sometimes not) Rice Eggs Steak Ice-cream and chocolate Wow...I promise that I eat veggies every day! The veg always changes though, so nothing's really a staple. I like trying new things. :)

You nose looks just fine. I'm betting NO ONE you meet is thinking about your nose. Stop fretting!

In case you didn't get the message repeated 10x, you need protein! (: Fry or scramble up 2 eggs. Trust me, you'll barely be able to finish your smoothie. I last only half as long on 160 cals of cake or even fruit vs 2 scrambled eggs.
