You're lucky! Personally I was tired of spending time building up nutrition plans for clients only to have them follow them for a week or two. Now we just tackle the habits to build the love for nutrient dense foods and everything simply falls into place.

Please familiarize yourself with this http://www.nutritionadvocacy.org/laws-state Unfortunately in the state of Maryland, if I tell someone to eat a specific food and they have an adverse reaction, I'm liable. In most states you have to have a license to tell someone specific foods to eat. Especially special population…

Maintenance for you at sedentary is about 1850kcal/day.

The only website I'd use for supplement information is Examine. https://examine.com/supplements/chromium/

That's not exactly fasting. The way 5:2 was written was to have zero calories for nearly 20+ hours to shut down digestion and allow the body to use fatty acids as fuel.

Goes along with nutrition too.

Don't eat excessive food or drink. Move more. My favorite exercise during the holidays is the Fork/Spoon pushdown, plate push aways!

A binge is a habit. If you put energy into a habit it grows. Habit is triggered by an event that usually has an emotion attached to it. Your job in beating the binge is to identify what happens BEFORE the binge. I'm not going to dig because binging is also related to past events and sometimes emotional trauma. My…

Beyond my scope of practice. Sounds like you aren't ready to change your eating habits. Go to the doctor.

You're within ideal weight for age and height. What would happen if you started resistance training and ate 2000kcal a day? If I was your coach that's what I'd tell you to do.

The pendulum always swings equally in both directions.

I wrote a post on moderation once. It got overrun by alcoholics and drug addicts who wanted to hang me in my front yard.

All weight training is glycogen depleting. Also depending on the type of training, fat loss would still occur even in the presence of post workout carbs. Just curious about the marketing thing and certainly not trying to get into a debate.

That's not sugar. That's food. The issue isn't sugar, the real issue here is how you lack self control around cake and chocolate. As a side note, my clients eat dark chocolate regularly because it's good for you.

Seek therapy. I currently have two binge eaters as clients but I wouldn't help them until they got help first. Both are now going on a year with no binging. As a side note, I don't ask them to track calories and all of my clients use intuitive eating. Best of luck.

What does BMR/RMR mean to you? What happens if you only burn 900kcal?

Marketing by whom? Physiologically she could take in a quick carb drink to top off glycogen. Protein would help as well. Unless she's got excess fat to burn them the body will refill glycogen from liver storage then gluconeogenesis the rest.

Most in that category are attention seeking.

Question for OP: What can you do differently than you didn't do last time? How are you going to lose the weight? Outline a plan of action and see if you can get proper feedback. ;)

Hire a coach who's familiar with special population diets and nutrition. These coaches are skilled in the change psychology needed to keep you on track without having to resort to surgery. One doctor you can google is Spencer Nadalsky. Another is Felix Economakis. Spencer is an obesity doctor. Felix is a psychotherapist…

I tell all of my clients that they won't need me for a long time. Some learn what they need to then leave. Others use me for habit coaching or to work on psychological aspects. My two longest running clients always have new goals that are generative in nature.
