Drop cardio if you want strength gains then pick it back up when you have the strength you like. Also build grip strength by using an olympic bar and while doing deadlifts, rows chin ups and pull ups squeeze the bar with your hands. Control the bar.

In order for it to be a reasonable deficit from TDEE youd have to be very small, old, little activity or post GBS. I've done 100s of numbers and only came across 1 person who fits this. A sedentary old woman whos about 4'11".......

Joined may 2012. At 1200 cals for 2lb per week loss you should be at about 50lbs lost. Member has lost 17lbs in appx 24 weeks. I have people who are losing more per week eating 1600-2200 and only working out 3x a week. This is the example I try to make daily. Dont push something that doesnt work.

BMR of 950 means you are extremely short or have very little lean mass or quite old. 65 isnt quite old so you must be extremely small. Whats your Height and weight?
