That's what I was going to say!

Also, everyone loses the most weight when they first start. 2 lbs a week is good and healthy weight loss progress. You should count yourself lucky, in the last 2.5 weeks I have only lost 0.6 lbs!

Craving chocolate can also indicate a magnesium deficiency. Of course, one has to distinguish the times your body wants magnesium from the times it just wants chocolate! Maybe try taking a mag. supplement and see if it helps? side note: do not take magnesium combined with calcium or anything else, as it reduces the…

You can eat whatever you want (well, sort of) as long as you stay within your calories. Don't make any foods 'off limits' and you will be more successful! Please eat more for today, you may be doing your body more harm than good.

Jascha Heifetz. Or maybe Paganini. (can you tell I'm a violinist?)
-
hehe, this + your profile cracked me up. ooh, bad pun.

Oh god, I agree with you. I would rather I look like I do now than look like I am on the verge of death by starvation! But thank you, you said very nice things and it's wonderful to hear them from a guy.

One of my kids (er, the ones I work with, I don't have any biological ones) bit another one and it broke the skin and bruised right away. I have never seen anything like it in my life--it was horrifying! I hope your husband is okay, and I'm glad this one doesn't seem as severe.

it's not. They interrupted the Olympics to say it on the news. Yahoo also has it at the top of every news article.

Try to eat a lot of little meals instead of 3 big ones. Try to eat something every 3 hours or so. Eat breakfast! It should be your largest meal Drink your 8 glasses of water a day, it will curb the hunger and help facilitate weight loss. If you are constantly hungry, try eating things with protein, as those foods will keep…

Well it's filled with both water and sugar, so... I'm not really sure. I would think that drinking a lot of water will help.

Crazy! I JUST had that for dessert tonight! It's definitely delicious.

Aww, that's so sweet!

A lot of us still do--myself included!

Yup, I gain about 10 lbs every year, then lose it in the summer. Yipes. Not this year though, I'm determined to lose not gain!!!

I had a bf who made comments about my thighs all the time. Needless to say he is now an ex. If he makes you feel bad about yourself, you need to let him know that his behaviour is unacceptable. You should be proud that you lost 25 lbs, and if you are healthy and happy with your weight, forget him! Love you for you, and…

No for food (but then again some days it's hard for me to eat all my calories) but yes for exercise because otherwise I get burned out.

I like Victoria Secret's new one, the biofit. It LIFTS! lol.
-
YES! Gawd this is tough!! :explode:
-
So true. I had resolved to do MORE exercise this week, but ended up doing none because I was feeling like I was going to faint...for about four hours. Not something I want to re-live! I guess sometimes our bodies just need a break. Taking one day off a week now might help prevent future burn-out.

Your goal weight puts you at a BMI which is considered underweight. You may want to re-evaluate your weight loss goals! 122 for your height is not only a healthy BMI but is considered an ideal one.

I'm the same, I've lost 10 lbs so far, but my last 10 lbs or so don't want to come off! I'm excited to be where I am, but frustrated too. Are you still losing at the same rate? I want to know your secret! lol. As for losing inches, I'd just recommend more exercise, maybe of different types, as well as strength training. I…

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Do you think it works?

Breakfast should be your largest meal. It keeps you going throughout the day, and a high-calorie breakfast will keep you full longer and actually make you eat less. Also, your body and brain need all that power first thing! Experts say dinner should be your smallest meal.

I was thinking about how so many of us here want to weigh/look like we did in high school, myself included (admittedly this was not that long ago for me). But today I remembered that I had grown two inches since then, and wondered if my BMI was still roughly the same, and it was! High school stats (me at 16, or 5 years…

It depends on the number of calories you're eating. Based on a 1500 calorie diet: 213 carbs, 2500 sodium.

Yum! Nutella...I never thought of that. Awesome idea!

I play violin for a living. Is that a talent? Other than that I am woefully untalented.
-
Yes, but not as much as I used to, I'm going to school and thus am not able to work as much. Still no on the ski thing though!

Well if I were trying to snap myself out of it, I'd probably say, 'next time I see [my ex] I want him to see how gorgeous I am and regret giving me up!' and use it as a mantra to maybe even lose weight (if I needed/wanted to). Regardless of whether I wanted him back. I must admit, I'm competitive and would want to be the…
