Haha, well it makes for a good story anyway. And a very weird feeling, I'm sure!

Wow, 6/10 lbs-- you're already 60% done! Congrats!
-
Thank you very much you guys!!

Maybe the yellow cake and/or the lemon? I don't really want to do anything with chocolate. Thanks so much! :flowerforyou:

The problem is that there are lots of other substances that go into cakes and things which contain gluten too! But thanks, I did find gluten-free cake mix at the store today, so I will try to do something with that!

Yeah, I have googled some but I was hoping for something that people had made and loved themselves!
-
That's really interesting, thanks! I don't really mind it taking a while as long as it comes off eventually, so that sounds like a good compromise.

I have reached what I consider to be a decent weight. I feel and look good, so I'm happy! Ideally I would like to lose another 5 lbs or so, but I just can't get the motivation to do so! I only require about 1450 calories a day and I feel like I'm hungry all the time when I eat just 1200. :( I'm at school all day and even…

I was 138 or so, and now I'm around 126!

Hi guys, I've noticed that quite a few of you seem to be ex-smokers, and I could use your advice! I don't smoke, never have, but my boyfriend smokes constantly. He says he wants to quit, and I know he is actually quite ashamed of the habit. Things have been stressful for him lately, and I've noticed a real increase in how…

Ohh man, Panera never fails to be my downfall! Luckily I don't live on the same continent as one anymore! I would always try to look online at the calorie counts before I went. It would usually guilt me into eating in moderation.

I worked at a Y this summer. The childcare part, but employees get a membership for free! I liked it a lot, it really motivated me to go work out.

Wow, too high for me!

Ohio does too! I was really pleased when I moved to PA and didn't have to (despite the fact that I actually weighed less than what was on my original license!)
-
Congratulations, that's amazing!! :drinker: :flowerforyou:

Yep, I did that in elementary school in the States too, it's just France is...different. There are not as many options available as there are in the US. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Nope, not Paris, sadly. I am in a town in the alps, not far from both Switzerland and Italy. As for class, I go without a break for.. exactly four hours, 9am-1pm so it should be ok, thanks! And the ice pack ideas are good in theory, I am not sure we have those here. I will look at Carrefour later this week.

I can't keep any of those things without a fridge... except the fruit.

Hello all, I am in need of your wisdom and advice! Most days I have class from 9am-6pm, with a short break for lunch. It is not really enough time to go out and find something or to go home, so most days I stay close to the school. The cafe at school has some healthier options, but they are usually sold out before my lunch…

You could, but it wouldn't taste very good. Where do you live? We don't have cream cheese here in France, for example, but I know they have it in Italy. If you are in the States, go to the grocery store and ask. It's a very yummy thing to have in recipes!

Yeah, my parents are still mad about what school did to me. Supposedly I ate very healthily, not a lot of sugar or anything, then I went to kindergarden and ruined my good diet. That's really why schools need to push better meal programs, and less (or healthier choices) in school vending machines. Starting off right is…

5 kilos per month is a lot, especially as you start to lose the weight (because it will come off less easily then). Try not to be discouraged if it doesn't happen as you plan and remember that you are becoming healthier and stronger! Welcome.
-
My gym has magazines and the machines have a place to hold them when you flip through. I also see the ladies who do the stair climber read HUGE novels! I just listen to music usually, though. I still get really bored, but it does help!

Yup! One 'cup' is 8 oz.

Final check-in = 126 lbs. I am pretty far from my goal, but I still lost enough to make me happy, so it's going to be a good birthday after all, I think!

How about 'love conquers all' as a reference to how your love has overcome all those little fights. Also doesn't hurt that he's a soldier!

Differences between scales may also have caused this! Don't despair, you can do it for sure. :flowerforyou:

As long as you are running a deficit, you will continue to lose. If you don't want to go as low as 1200, you can always change your calorie intake.
-
oh my goodness, I wish I could do that well! I only lost 8/10 lb in the past month. Congrats everybody!!

Eat before taking them, it's supposed to combat the nausea.
