We all quest down here.

Sounds like she's the one with pyschological damage. Sad.

I weigh 130 today, even. It's been nearly 6 years.

Yes, fat (olive oil is a fat) is satiating, but on it's own it doesn't have any magical weight-loss properties. No, carbs don't turn to fat any differently or faster than any other macro-only a surplus in calories can do that. Yes, Protein is pretty satiating also. Moral of the story: as long as you're eating at a deficit,…

Definitely clothes-buying is getting more pleasant/satisfying.
-
Congrats! I can't wait to get there! I'm almost halfway there, hahaha.
-
5'4 but I don't feel short!
-
Yeah that definitely makes more sense. I'm down nearly 19lbs now and I have a lot of clothes that fit me-although tight-that fit more comfortably now. A few items, like my old work slacks, fall right off.

Get a hobby that involves keeping your hands busy and mind focused. I've mostly got a handle on my mindless snacking (mostly), but when it's tough I read, I walk, or I'll paint my nails so I won't go shoving my little hands in the fridge or in boxes or containers of food.
-
Um, that's 10 days. It's not going to happen.

22lbs and 16 inches is significant enough to notice, and your clothes should be pretty loose by now. Something doesn't add up here.

I'm gonna be that person right now: I feel pretty lucky, since most other women I know have a very difficult time with arm flubbiness, even as they lose weight and exercise. For me it's usually the first thing to disappear, showing the muscle underneath right away. It's hereditary/genetic or whatever, but for what it's…

I basically eat the same thing most days, particularly at lunch and breakfast. Some egg thing for breakfast, some salad for lunch, a quest bar for snack, and dinner is usually whatever meat/veg/grain I have on hand, yogurt or protein shake if I have extra calories and need to meet my protein minimum still.

I used to hate coconut, but I felt it was childish to just outright not "like" something so I tried every concievable way to eat it where I could find it palateable. Then I realized it like it best in Thai-style cuisine. It only took years of trying and failing to find a way to enjoy it, but I finally got there, and I'm…

I had the same experience on depo. I was absolutely out of control angry 24/7 to the point I got depressed because I couldn't even manage my reactions/emotions and I felt completely at a loss for how to steer myself anymore. I also ate a lot more. So I gained weight. Because I ate a lot more. I know this because when I…

Oh my, my INTJ heart is clutching its pearls!

Drama.

Small targets, as mentioned above, and patience. You're going to have setbacks along the way, but you gotta just take the experience and adjust. Aim small, miss small.
-
To address one of your concerns: Don't use this experience as a reason to overeat. Growing up with emotionally dependent or emotionally manipulative (usually one and the same, though not alway entirely conscious of the fact) people has taught me that they'll often resort to outwardly presenting self-harm, self-deprecation,…

You sound 100% like a friend I just dropped several months back. We had been friends for nearly 10 years, despite occasionally living far away from each other and not seeing each other more than every couple of months before she moved back. I've chosen to ignore her calls, texts, cards, etc. Why? I'd explained various…

Same!

Yes! It always creeps me out when it does that and I can see it, but I know it's my pulse.
-
I dunno. You ever put the cinnamon roll one in the microwave for a bit?
-
You'll pry my quest bar out of my cold, dead hands.

That's definitely INTJ love. I don't buy trinkets or things of that nature (unless specifically requested) for people I care about, I help them fix something or get them something that makes their life easier. I even *gasp* listen to them talk about their feelings to let them sort things out on their own. But yeah. I'm…

I loved Ripped in 30, and I'm on my 12th and last week of her Body Revolution program. After this, I'm in the gym to start proper lifting.
-
INTJ. I really dig all these nifty graphs and pie charts and people who know what they're talking about.
-
Um. Yes, certain ab moves can occasionally make exercise more interesting than others for me. *cough*

What's a lot of protein for you? Sometimes I eat up to 130g, MFP has my goal as a minimum of 105g. From previous posters responses on threads like these, you just treat MFP's macro settings as minimums.
