  • I don't weigh in often at all. Originally it was because I started this by weighing myself at my mom's house with her scale because it's better. We don't live in the same city so I only weigh in when I go home to visit. Now, I think it's better for me because I am much more focused on NSV (Non scale victories), feeling…
  • Saving for later
  • Low fat cheese and a teaspoon of salsa
  • Today it's tuna mixed with finely chopped celery and a tablespoon of light mayo, romaine lettuce, cucumbers and just a sprinkle of cheese.
  • Looks delicious, easy and adaptable for the crockpot...my kind of recipe!
  • I made this the other night. I didn't originally post it because I haven't completely decided what I think of it. It's not that it tasted bad, just that it's weird to eat something that tastes like pizza in chili form. LOL in hind sight I decided to post it in case anyone else wants to try it. It DOES have a pizza taste so…

  • As promised...here are some of the recipes from the other thread, consolidated STEAK STROGANOFF Ingredients 2 tablespoons flour 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1 boneless lean round steak (about 1 3/4 lb.) 1 can low-fat cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup water 1 package dried onion…
  • In my opinion 25 is the age to START thinking about marriage. Marriage is a big deal and should not be taken lightly or decided upon based on length of relationship. You are 25, the last 6.5 years have been growing and learning experiences for both of you. Now is the time to settle in and see, now that you've accomplished…
  • If you do the campfire foil dinner thing, make sure to use 2 layers of foil and put a layer of wet paper in the middle. Also make sure to fold seal the foil well or else you'll lose are your juices. My favourite combo is a little bit of extra lean ground beef (could use ground turkey as well) sliced potatoes, onions, lot…
  • Another gamer here. Currently I play WoW and Wii (always prefered nintendo systems over the PS3). hubby plays PS3 and DC Universe online. I used to role play....table top, online, LARP...you name it. I prefer white wolf systems but have played D&D, Warhammer and a couple other obscure ones that I can't remember the names…
  • Thank you all for your responses. I'm going to relax today, feel what I feel, honour my dad, eat SOME cheese and not feel guilty
  • You hit the nail on the head. My husband commented on how guilty he thinks I feel for feeling sad. He's right. Being an only child and my mother being so high maintenance, I never allowed myself to feel ok about grieving. I've been too busy taking care of her emotional needs.
  • Yum! Please keep them coming! I've saved so many already. I love it!
  • It's very similar to my crockpot enchilada filling but I like the idea of the tomatoes and putting it over rice. I'm definitely going to work this into my meal plans this weekend
  • I don't weigh myself often because I want this to be a lifestyle, not a diet. If I weigh in frequently, I start obsessing about that number rather than being happy with the way I look and feel. I have to say and I'm at all not being snarky...that it's interesting to me that it's assumed that the Wii is right and the…
  • Any and all veggies non-fat yogurt a variety of low fat dips, spreads and hummous low fat cheese whole wheat bread products (thin cut bread, crumpets, tortillas)
  • I do this too but also add corn and black beans in the crock pot. Makes it a bit heartier without a tonne of added calories, adds some fiber and also allows for left overs or if you're having company, a larger batch. I usually freeze the left over filling for a quick meal or snack later.
  • I'm not single either but the hubby requires a high calorie diet so though he's super supportive, he doesn't fully understand. I'm lucky in the sense that all of my immediate colleagues are all eating healthy as well, so we give each other encouragement and support through-out the day. Many of our non-work related…

  • Great article...that gave me an 'Ah ha!' moment. I had noticed that I wasn't using the bathroom all the time anymore even though I was still drinking my water and now I know why. It makes sense.
  • Ditto! I also like the idea of things that can be portioned out and put in the freezer so that I can just take it out and heat it up and instantly know the nutritional value. This would be perfect for taking lunch to work.
  • Wow! You definitely deserve to be proud of yourself! It's interesting to see the difference in your confidence in the pictures. Your clothing choices and stances become more and more flirty and open. I don't know you but I can literally see a blossoming of sorts. Great legs BTW! :)
  • Ugh! I have this problem constantly. I'm a classic hour glass figure so my waist is quite small in comparison to my DD chest and hips. I've been finding that I like the way empire waist tops (especially the baby doll style with the ties under the bust that tie in the back) look the best because it makes it OBVIOUS that my…
  • Brocolii, ham and cheese quiche with a side salad in our house today! Yum!
  • Stratford, Ontario, Canada --> Home town of Justin Bieber LOL I'm originally from Windsor, ON across the river from Detroit.
  • Exactly my thought
  • The problem though is that all those entries include the edge crust which I don't tend to eat. I imagine that thick piece of dough has a decent amount of calories and carbs in it
  • I haven't eaten restaurant mexican since starting but I do cook a lot of it and it can usually be pretty adaptable at home. I would think the best way to help stick to things is to limit the cheese, sour cream and other high calorie/fat things that tend to be in/on mexican dishes. Go more for beans and things with lots of…
  • That WAS pretty cool...mostly because I didn't think any of those women looked FAT yet I can't completely say that I feel the same way about myself. It was a bit of an eye opener. I definitely don't feel any less motivated because I do have more weight on me than I need but I feel a little better about myself and hopefully…
