  • I WAS in a similar place going into my senior year of undergrad but I had 30 pounds to lose. I followed a similar plan--I only drank once a week, maybe less actually, and was running 1.5 to 3 miles 5 days a week. I was also REALLY active that summer. I had two jobs, an internship, and played slow pitch softball. Summer was…
  • I swear by my cheap costco bought lunch. I buy the big package of thomas's bagel thins, everything bagel flavor, which is 110 calories for the entire thing. I pick up the package of sargento cheese--avg calories in a slice of this package is 80 calories. I pick a meat I like for the month, usually around 40-50 calories per…

  • I like doing shots of tequila and nursing 1 Corona Light for the night. Corona Light is 99 calories, 2.5 ounces of tequila is 173 calories. NOT too bad when you're drinking your cals ;-)
  • That's awesome! It took A LOT for me to start throwing away food (I don't like being wasteful) BUT I have to share what I've discovered to be a great way for me to beat the frap craving and still "indulge." Probably 2 times a month I order a tall, extra coffee caramel light with a shot of espresso blended in. Adds up to…
  • I go over my sugar allowance every single day too. I have not had a problem because I eat really healthy too. For me the most sugar comes from fruit, my morning bowl of cereal, fiberone bars, and the occasional bite of chocolate. I RARELY go over my calorie goal for the day too. My fiance is a doctor and I asked him if…
  • LOL where did you get such an awesome shirt?! And thanks! I'll definitely try stretching and my fiance wants to start doing yoga so maybe I'll join him on occasion (even though I think it sounds really really boring)! My fiance does keep telling me that my legs look great and since I'm a hippy girl (which oddly doesn't bug…
  • I have the same problem! Whenever I eat dinner with my family and pull out my phone to track the calories they tell me "oh you're being ridiculous" or I'm "getting too extreme and it's unhealthy." 1) My BMI is 23 so I'm actually on the high end for a healthy weight and could lose A LOT more and still be healthy. 2) Working…
  • We did the 10K in 51:41! We kept a steady pace the entire time according to Nike+ too! It really wasn't as bad as I thought--I was really nervous before actually running it! What was really cool was we chose a route down Santa Monica so I "window shopped" clothes I could never afford while we ran :-)
  • Thanks! I will definitely focus on pacing since that's been a struggle before.
  • I maintained my weight really well and drank almost every night (no problem--I just have a stressful job and am a student and would drink 1 or 2 drinks before bed). About a month and a half ago I decided I wanted to lose a little more weight and made it a rule that I could only drink on the weekend. I've become more of a…
  • I'd go with the sandwich because the protein will keep you full longer. The noodles, while delicious, are all carbs. You'll be hungry in an hour.
  • It would be fun to have an "indulgent" day once or twice a week! I'll give it a try and will let you know how it goes :-)
  • I'm 5'8", 147 pounds with A LOT of muscle (I was a division 1 athlete, and work out 5 days a week). I just want to get down to 139 (it would just be nice to have be in the 130s I guess). Once I got down to 145, I stopped losing and I've fluctuated between 145 and 150 for about a month now. I've hit a point where I can…
  • I also usually don't "diet" I've counted calories for almost a year. This is the first gimmicky thing I've decided to try.
