  • Beans and egg whites (if you want to avoid the fat). Green pea soup. Lentil soup. I don't do the egg thing but love the bean and pea soups. And you can make a bunch at a time and it stores well. I also like Barn Dad fiber / protein supplement 1 stone 2 birds and it is easy to take fiber most is awful. Keep in mind if you…
  • If it has a label, that is your 1st clue.
  • I just suggest you avoid the foods that trigger hunger. For example if I eat high glycemic foods it makes me hungry. Avoid sugar and simple white carbs. I eat mainly plant based and it does allow a huge volume of food. On the other hand high calorie dense foods do not give me the volume to fill me up. It is not as bad as…
  • How is your clothing fitting?
  • For me the key is to avoid foods that cause a spike in blood sugar. The resulting down swing of high glycemic foods causes me to be very hungry. Sugar derails me completely. Knowing this means I must completely avoid certain types of food. This will vary for different people.
  • No, it means you are not getting enough fiber or taking medications that cause the problem. Poop is the waste from food, we actually lose weight through respiration, yep we breath it away.
  • I agree at 500 net calories you are under nourished. You metabolism is in panic mode. Anytime I plateau it is generally because I am eating too little and I will go off the rails for a day. Only problem with that is it takes a couple days to get back in the grove.
  • It's not a goal as much as a journey. Just keep eating well like it is what you plan to do for the rest of your life. If you are eating as you should the weight will drop to your goal. If on the other hand you are being drastic and doing something unsustainable then when you reach your goal you may not be able to maintain.…
  • ZZ Top said it best, "Every girls crazy about a sharp dressed man". Being well dressed and confident without being arrogant is key to set up apart from the crowd with the ladies. I agree with williamwj, you do project an attitude that might be off putting.
  • Don't be afraid to go against intuition at this point and do a feast. One day will not matter and that could send you on your way to losing again. Only problem of course is you might struggle with hunger for a few days. Works for me.
  • http://nutritiondata.self.com/ You can do searches based on that parameter http://nutritiondata.self.com/foods-000000000000005000000-w.html
  • Food is everywhere and the more we resist the more it calls. What is it they say?, "what we resist, persist". It's true. Know this. Then break the cycle. Find a eating style that works for you to get started. Some people find it easier to comply doing the low carb thing because there seems to be less sugar swings that make…
  • When was your last of the rails feast? Our metabolism is brutal when it down throttles. If you have not done so in a while it might be time for a blowout. Just get back on track the very next day.
  • Calorie tracking is of paramount value for me. As far as macros go I try to limit low nutrition calorie dense foods. You know what they are.:) I find that if I watch the glycemic load of what I eat I can stay on track. For me it is much easier not to eat trigger foods than to resist my hunger. Having given up grains…
  • I suggest you look into glycemic load of the foods you eat. For me if I eat simple carbs like fruit and bread I come off the rails and have a hard time controlling appetite. Personally I think nature wants us to load up on fast carb foods when available and store them as fat. That was what was required to survive way back…
  • I don't pay much attention to any ratio. I count calories like a religion to make sure I'm on budget but all I watch is that I'm getting enough fiber and protein. And as far as how much protein IMO that varies person to person.
  • I agree with the calorie tracking. Do it 100% and be honest 100%. You are only cheating yourself if you don't. I do not agree with the statement you can not change body composition in a deficit. If you are working at an intensity high enough to trigger growth and are eating enough proteins to support it. You can. I do…
  • Eat an orange, eat some almonds. Don't drink calories.
  • What I might recommend is you lose some weight 1st maybe get to 1/2 way to your goal or a few pounds down anyway. You might then have more energy to go to the gym. Exercise is not required to lose weight but it will make you look better and feel better. Less flab etc. A far as motivation goes, they say it takes 40 days to…
  • A little booze now and then is good for the soul. And whatever your weakness can not be denied long term without a price to pay. That being said red wine and white liquors are the best way to go for diet. Just don't go crazy and not get back on track. And wearing lampshades will clash with your lipstick.
  • Is there a reason you don't track calories perfectly? I found it very difficult to guess. I have completely eliminated sugar and grain from my diet and attribute that to at least in part to feeling so much better overall. After a couple weeks I did not miss them at all. I do exercise but I make sure I have plenty of…
