Anyone done a race with a sea swim? I'm wondering how you deal with the salt left over after the swim. Normally after being in the sea all I can think about is a shower!

I'm outdoors on the weekends, indoor trainer during the week. Indoors distance is a bit meaningless it depends on the resistance, but I just go by my bike computer distance. 23 miles was indoors and took 70 min's at 70% of my max heart rate.

well if you don't have an outside bike it's a tougher call. I don't know how much an indoor fixed bike costs, you would have to look at what is most cost effective for you. Bike wise, gosh there are a million choices... the only real need for using it with an rear wheel trainer is that it has a plain slick road type tyre.…

Have you got a real bike for outside? If so... just get a rear wheel trainer and a cycle computer and you have the perfect indoor torture, I mean training device that can also be packed away and the bike used outdoors in summer.

Nice to see so many people on here doing the longer Tri's. I'm entered and paid up for IronMan Wales, late summer. Training like mad for it, but enjoying every minuet! Most of you will know this next resource, but for anyone who has missed it, endurance corner is well worth the time! Well at least the free articles are!…
