The first thing everyone is going to ask is do you weigh your food. If you do, talk to your dr. If you dont, start now. Best of luck, you can totally do this!

I make breakfast burritos, but I don't like eggs. I use morning star farms vegetarian sausage patties, hash browns ( the frozen ones cooked in a little oil) a little cheese, ketchup and tons of tobasco. I make a big batch, roll them in parchment paper, put in a ziploc bag and freeze. They reheat quickly on the defrost…

Hi, I don't have a weight loss success story to share (I have been sticking to this for 6 weeks and lost 12 lbs, still have a long ways to go) but I can share my beating depression success story! I can give more details if you would like to message me or send a friend request but basically my therapist recommended a book…

Taco Bell sauce that is sold in stores! I can make healthy Mexican food at home and still have lots of mild sauce!

I follow someone on Instagram named fotorealia with that, she talks about it a lot and the foods she eats. She lifts and is in awesome shape

I puree dates with water, add coconut milk and vanilla. You can add cocoa powder if you like a mocha flavor or any extract you want. It lasts a few days in the fridge, and takes less than two minutes to mix up. I use an immersion blender since it easy to clean.

Bump, so much good info

Intermittent Fasting is the best! I wish I would have learned 10 years ago that breakfast wasn't the most important meal of the day! I've never been able to wait until dinner, but the idea of getting to eat 1,400 calories at once sounds fun! I might have to give it a try!

I think that is one of those questions where if you have to ask it you already know the answer. Those 2 lbs could be anything, water retention, waste, wearing different clothes, don't sweat it and don't let it discourage you. At night I'm easily 3 lbs heavier than I am first thing in the morning. Just keep eating fewer…

I just don't want to do something that is going to harm my progress in the long run... and I've been reading a ton of threads that nearly make me nervous to eat under 1500 per day [/quote] One day overeating or one day undereating won't harm your progress. I look at my calories over the week more than I look at a single…

Asian cashew salad kit from Costco. It is mostly cabbage and carrots. It's a great change from iceberg or romaine salads I've been eating for lunch lately.

Are you logging your food? Do you know how many calories you are eating? Don't worry about being perfect from the start (or being perfect ever for that matter) just try your best to weigh and measures all of your food and log it. Try to get as close to your goals as possible

I love intermittent fasting. I used to think it was not eating at all two days a week then eating larger portions five days a week. I've learned that a lot of people only eat 8 hours a day and that seems to work for me too. I have coffee and 32 oz of water when I wake up. Then I eat around 400 calories at noon (I've never…

Chippino (sp?) Is awesome, it's seafood in a tomato based soup. Otherwise I'd get seafood fettuccine and eat probably 1/3 of it.

@Christine_72 I just saw that you already have the zip, the one thing you will have to get used to is charging it. I really liked the zip because I never had to replace the battery. It's so convenient to have a watch, I never have to look around for my phone when I want to quickly check the time!
-
@Christine_72 I feel like the Flex and Alta are very similar in step count accuracy. I have routes that I walk around my neighborhood, I know what blocks/streets are 1,000 steps and so far my Alta reflects the same step count for those areas as my Flex did. I had the zip several years ago so I can't compare it to the other…

Following, I bought it two weeks ago and haven't tried it yet. I plan on starting Tuesday.

I have the Alta and chose it because I thought it was more feminine than the charge. To me the charge is bulky, plus I've heard the band is prone to break (it's usually replaced under warranty but I didn't want to deal with the hassle) The main differences are that you can change the band on the Alta and cannot on the…

I get an iced soy latte, it has protein and minimal sugar. I believe it's about 130 calories for a 16 oz. I also love unsweetened green or black tea.

Measure with a measuring cup if it's a fluid. If the nutrition facts give you the info in grams put an empty dish on the scale, zero it out then weigh the food. If it's a cream sauce or curry you made from scratch then weigh each ingredient and use the recipe builder feature in mfp. Hope that helps!

I have nothing to add, I just wanted to say that your English is almost perfect and far better than a lot of people who speak English as their first language

I know for me, when I start to feel depressed or anxious then I immediately go to the pantry. Then it's easy for me to feel bad about eating so much garbage and I feel like a failure so I eat more. For the last 3 weeks I've been waking up a 5 or 6 in the morning and walking 4 or 5 miles. Exercising at the beginning of the…

Do you have a fitbit? I'm always doing weekly or weekend challenges with my friends. I'm currently 200, looking to be around 130-145.

I quit for soda for 3 months starting in January . The ease in pain was gradual, but definitely by the end of the 3 months the pain went from a 4 to a 1. I started drinking it for about a 3 weeks in april. I had between 3 and 5 a day, that's when the pain started back again. I stopped drinking it again for a week and the…

I've been eating the same salad for lunch for about 2 weeks, 3 cups of spinach .7 oz of crumbled gorgonzola, .7 oz of walnuts, an ounce of dried cranberries and 1-2 tablespoons of balsamic dressing. With the cheese and nuts it can be a bit high in fat so I need to watch the other things I eat. if you want protein it would…

My 2 cents, when I have 3 or more a day my arthritis kicks in big time and a few other minor aches and pains I have are much more painful. I've read things about it causing inflammation and for me I feel it does. I feel it also causes me to crave food but when I'm logging and paying attention I can control those cravings.…

I started with the zip and only got the flex because I lost my zip. I LOVED the battery life on the zip. I needed to charge my flex every 3 days or more if I had it sync all day and I found that very annoying. I recently got an Alta (because my flex stopped charging after 2 years) so far the battery seems to last for about…

Hi, I'm a stay at home mom, fellow craft lover and fitbit user too! I have about 60 lbs to lose and I just started logging my food yesterday (although I've been a mfp user for years) I'll send you a request.
