I had knee surgery in Aug 07 and it was so worth the pain and immobilization for 6wks! I had recurrent patellar dislocations so they opened my knee up (looks like a total knee replacement scar), and did a lateral release as well as raised my patella and did something to which they rescrewed it into my tibia.
