  • I hope I was advising both in my post - good form (technique, whatever you want to call it), yes is very important. I disagree with you though. In my opinion, good shoes *are* important as well. By good shoes I mean any kind of trainer with support that is still intact. Support does go in trainers if you've had them for a…
  • Seconded on the good shoes, and form is quite important too just so you don't get into any bad habits that might lead to injury, really. If you can try and run so that you don't whack your knees with the full impact it really helps, try and absorb some of the shock as you land. There's more about form here:…
  • I'm not sure it will help everyone, but I use this http://physicsdiet.com/ - basically you weigh yourself every day at the same time and it smooths the graph for you. The idea is that what you end up with is a trend in your weight, rather than worrying about whatever number actually comes up on the scale that day. If your…
  • I think most people log it under 20-25 mins of circuit training - that's what I do.
  • Level 2 has a lot of "plank" work in push-up position - that was the biggest challenge I found when moving up. With the press ups, I found it really helped to try to do two or three full press ups (as many as I could manage without falling on my face!) at the start of the round and then drop back to my knees to finish.…
  • I reckon that the rest of you will catch up before too long, so your bust, although smaller than before, will be more in proportion with the rest of you.
  • I bet you anything that the 145 you weigh now is totally different from the 145 you weighed before - you've been exercising so you're probably more toned and healthy. In fact, if I have my facts straight, that muscle should help you burn more calories. Think of it as a head start!
  • I say go for it :) It's definitely exercise, and you wouldn't normally do it day to day.
  • 6lbs isn't anything to sneer at! :) I'm in a similar situation, but I'm definitely feeling a difference in the way my clothes fit, and I know that my fitness is improving. Have you got any small things you've noticed changing, but not relating to your weight? Stick with it! If you know you're eating right, and you're…
  • Sorry! Yes, bad wording on my part there, thanks korgscrew! But if I got the rest right, a pound of fat will have more volume than a pound of muscle, so you will be losing cm but seeing no change on the scales. At least, that's what I've always thought. Catcrazy might be right though - I'm no expert.
  • If you're exercising a lot more than you used to, chances are you're building muscle - muscle weighs more than fat so you can be losing cm but seeing no change in your actual weight. Stick with it!
