  • I'm not an expert on this topic but as far as I'm aware the US government does not give very many subsidies to farms that grow produce. I think I was reading an article recently on the new "MyPlate" food guidelines that said even though they recommend that 1/2 your food intake be fruits and vegetables, less than 1% of…
  • I think its super important that people try their best to support local foods, I try to make it to my local farmer's market every week. Personally I think the produce tastes better and I'm willing to pay more for better produce. What really aggravates me is when people complain about paying more money for higher quality…

  • Last night was the first night I was able to do all of the side lunges with anterior raises! Usually my arms burn so bad I switch up and do some bicep curls instead... but I'm feeling stronger already and I made it through!
  • tjradd73- My 10K was good! The course was really hilly but I managed to finish close to my previous time... 1:02:55. (My previous time was 1:01:40). I'm really happy with myself considering I almost didn't run it at all because I have been dealing with a sore throat for a little while and I felt undertrained. Oh not to…

  • For breakfast I smash some avocado on top of a whole wheat english muffin, and sprinkle a little lime juice and pepper on top. Its delicious!
