Oh and also if you are interested in eating tofu often I HIGHLY recommend getting a tofu press (I got mine on Amazon from Tofu Xpress). I didn't like cooking with it much before, but ever since I got a tofu press its WONDERFUL! I put the tofu in the press in the morning to squeeze out excess liquid and then marinate it…

Starting out the most easy transition would be veggie burgers and other fake meats from Boca or Morningstar. The Morningstar sausage is especially delicious. Also Trader Joes has delicious meat substitutes if you shop there. I still eat those products occasionally but over time I have tried to use more natural protein…

i'm really excited to watch this, i've heard so many good things about it!

adding cinnamon in with the grounds is a great idea and is really delicious. i started drinking mine black because i was too lazy to put in creamer and sugar before class and i just got used to it... now coffee with creamer and sugar tastes wayyy too sweet and i have to have it black and bitter :)
-
2 cups BLACK every weekday

Luckily this has only happened to me once.. right in the middle of a 4 mile run... out of nowhere! I think I must have eaten something that caused it but I really don't know for sure. But usually my schedule is that I go to the bathroom right before I run, either when I get home from work or in the morning, so I don't have…

Pizzas made on top of portobello mushrooms instead of crusts and some green beans on the side

Good points but I'm kind-of anti-germaphobia. And I would consider myself to have a really good immune system... I rarely get sick when others around me are. But its whatever each person feels comfortable with.... thoroughly washing their produce or not.
-
I'll just look at it as boosting my immune system. But the cow poo part is kinda gross though. Although I don't think rinsing it with water is really going to help much lol
-
Ha I think I'm completely the opposite. Is it weird that I like when my fruits and vegetables are kinda dirty? Like carrots for example... I don't like to wash them too much... makes me feel like I'm eating some of the soil and getting some of the minerals from it LOL. And I never wash any organic produce that I buy.

if men are allowed to run with no shirt at all then women are definitely allowed to run with just a sports bra. plus its a freaking heat wave out there.... at least where i am!

Before college (about 7 years ago) I weighed about 120. Then throughout college and afterwards I fluctuated anywhere from 130 to 140 lbs. When I started grad school I started eating more healthy and exercising more so right now I'm about 130. I would be delighted to be able to be 120 again but honestly my weight isn't my…

I try to cook something for dinner so that way I can take the leftover with me for lunch the next day. If I don't have leftovers I usually have a frozen meal from Trader Joes. We are lucky that there are so many different meat substitutes to choose from these days, I like Morningstar the best. I used to eat their products…

Quinoa is a good source and is very versatile and delicious :)

most of the time I have between 3/4 and 1 cup of nonfat yogurt, pour 1/4 cup of oats on top, and chop up whatever fruit I have on hand (mango, peach, banana, blueberries, etc.) mix it all together and eat. Usually comes out to be about a 250-300 calorie breakfast and it keeps me full.

Quaker chocolate crunch rice cakes are 60 cal, 1g fat and 3g sugar. Or moderate amounts of dark or milk chocolate. Sometimes I just go ahead and eat 1/2 of a Hersheys milk chocolate bar. Yes it has a lot of sugar but its only 105 calories and really satisfies when i just need chocolate!

Use ribbons of zucchini instead of pasta noodles. See this article for a simple example: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/23/health/22recipehealth.html

Usually natural peanut butter does separate out some. Just stir it up and you are good to go. Also store it in the refrigerator.

i have about 2 regular sodas per month. when i'm drinking mixed drinks though i order it with diet soda. i just really hate the taste of diet alone but don't mind it when its mixed with alcohol...

All I know is, if I don't eat breakfast, I feel sluggish and I'm VERY hungry by 10 AM. For me it's not a choice, its a necessity.

Sometimes I plan the entire week at once and other times I just make whatever I feel like when I get home. One thing I like to do at the beginning of the week is cook up a large pot of rice, beans, or lentils and keep it in the fridge so then I can just reheat it the rest of the week so that saves me time.

I switched to natural peanut butter a couple years ago and now I hate "normal" peanut butter (JIF, Skippy etc.) Natural is just sooo peanut-y and delicious and the normal ones taste like plastic to me now lol. The BEST peanut butter I've ever tasted is from Parkers Farm. All natural, just peanuts and salt. And it is…
