But, but...welcome to the United Socialist Republic of America!!

'Bulky' is a factor of the amount of muscle a person has. Leanness if a factor of bodyfat levels. These are in no way the same thing, and neither word can be substituted for the other. Call it semantics if you like...but again, these simply aren't the same thing. To illustrate (AGAIN) how lifting heavy, even to the point…

/sigh...I'm speaking in general. I'm sure you can pull exceptions out of any group of people. First I never said thin = healthy and fat = bad. Second...I'm sorry, you simply can't argue that in general an average group of women in the 20% bodyfat range, is going to be more healthy overall than an average group of women in…

Speaking of...there was this one time... *glances at Crankstr...clamps mouth shut*
-
Whether you consider other cultures advanced or no...white America 'worshiping' a healthy bodyfat level isn't necessarily a negative. Now...the modeling industry (which isn't a 'white American' thing by the way) is a whole other story.
-
^^^^ TOTALLY freaking joking by the way lol.
-
Flied lice? Oh wait...that was racist :(.
-
Yes! Your second picture is definitely curvy lol. And for the record...this white man ain't skeered! :)
-
Aww! Mrs. Ramirez...you've always been one of my MFP favorites :)
-
It's because of me hun. They're waiting for me to slip up and post partial nudity or insult someone so they can give me a strike. It's entrapment I tell you!
-
You're welcome! :blushing:
-
I can think of at least three in this thread alone lol. And the hypothetical was to explain something that clearly went far, far over your head. It's ok though...you've clearly outwitted us all...so its all good :). It's a medical industry standard, not her 'opinion'. /sigh.
-
/sigh...! For a second earlier, I almost thought you understood, then you posted this ^^^^. First, I was using your 'sampling of the population' as an example of an offensive opinion, not saying it was actually my opinion. It was hypothetical. Meaning not real, used ONLY for explanatory purposes. Second, your point below…
-
Exactly my point :).
-
Who's measuring your bodyfat, and how? Looking at your profile picture, it seems pretty accurate, I'd put your bodyfat right at 20%? I understand you might carry extra here or there (I tend to as well, I'm around the 20-22% range, and depending on where you took a picture of my body, you'd definitely say either higher, or…

:D

The opinion I stated wasn't real...it was just made up to show how an opinion can absolutely be offensive hun. As far as abusive white men...around here it's usually the opposite (just being honest...I'm sure its a regional thing rather than ethnic). And I completely understand about your opinion...and you're absolutely…
-
Well, lets try this. In my opinion white women who don't date white men are confused and should be treated for a mental disorder. Opinions can absolutely be offensive, as you can see above. Good thing that opinion was hypothetical (pulled from the fact that you prefer latin men, nothing more), and in no way really…
-
Oh...it was absolutely sarcastic lol...just not directed at you :). I have a huge issue how the word 'curvy' has been taken over and used to mean something it really just...well, isn't. But that's a personal pet peeve lol...so I try not to let it get the best of me =p.
-
I hope you realize what you're implying here...which is that any woman who isn't what amounts to at the highest end of what might be considered a healthy bodyfat (most consider it over healthy), isn't 'womanly'. Just wanted to point out how you might be offending...oh, pretty much any healthy woman on this site.
-
I was agreeing with you...I'M the one who said she had curves lol.
-
I agree...that they are your ideal :). Mine is the 15-25% lol. Now the disclaimer...this in no way means I wouldn't be attracted to someone in the 25%+ range. It just means that if I were handed a checklist to build an ideal (FOR ME) woman's body...it'd fall in the range of the second and fourth pictures.
-
Yeah, those are 'curves'.... :grumble:
-
Define 'curves'. Because Selma Hayek is probably the curviest woman I know of, and she's nowhere near 35% bodyfat.
-
Serious respect...as usual! :D
-
^^^^^ Cause I'm betting that what you're thinking of as 'too bulky' is simply 'too lean'. They are not the same.
-
Excellent post here...both parts. The majority of 'hunger' felt in todays world is based on habit, not actually needing food.
-
I think he's right too lol.
-
Who what? I thought we were playing 'Finding Nemo' :(
-
I dunno, my boys mom looked about exactly like that, and was a size 3? Womens sizes are chaos so who knows...maybe she's a 3 AND a 12 lol... corrected for your edit! :)
