It's January, I live In the Midwest, and I've gotten to walk outside for two days! Bliss! Cold days ahead though. Still tracking all meals and managing well. Fun group!

Just focus on one thing at a time. The next week or month add something. It's difficult and nearly impossible to juggle all of it all of the time. That's why I like this challenge. It focuses on just two things. I can do that. But even if you only track one meal a day, that's something. Keep at it.

Checking in. I enjoy reading everybody's posts!

Have some foods prepped for the week and took a much needed nap today! Have a great week everybody!

Still at it and logging eats even at 12:30 AM! Lost track of time with errands, football games (Go Chiefs!) and a weeks worth of grading and lesson planning. Looking forward to a sweaty workout Sunday.

This week I lost the 5 lbs. of holiday bloat and a 1/2 inch on my waist. I'm now back to where I left off before the holiday mayhem began. This challenge has held me accountable for getting back into the habit of logging what I eat and drinking ALL my water. Plus I've picked up a few friends along the way.

Today I did an upper body interval workout from my Beachbody coach. Not a calorie torcher but yowza! I feel it everywhere. Nutrition is going well too. Even managed dinner out before my son heads back to college.

Day 3 was a good one. Drank water all day, logged everything. Rest day for workout but still active around the house and at work. Still motivated!!
-
Day 2 and everything is logged. On to tomorrow!
-
Monday was good considering this teacher headed back to school with students. Logged my food, drank all my water. Didn't get a scheduled workout in today but was on my feet all day and racked up steps on my FitBit. Feel free to add me as a friend.

I'm in. Logging is my biggest downfall. When I do, I stay on track. When I don't, well, I don't.

Day 3: didn't do a workout - a little under the weather today but did eat well. The fact I tracked my nutrition for 3 straight days made this a success for me. Happy New Year!! B)

I'm not weighing in at all - just focusing on healthy habits for now.

Did PiYo Sweat today and have done pretty well with nutrition the past couple days. Not perfect, but still under my calorie goal. Onward ...

We got a new elliptical for ourselves for Christmas so I hopped on that for 20 minutes for some interval cardio.

Was trolling MFP for some motivation to get me thru the holidays. I'm in! I can do anything for 3 days.

Thanks!!

We eat out all the time - lots of places have calorie counts on their menu now, TONS of restaurant items are on MFP -- in fact, I don't think I've ever eaten at a restaurant that wasn't in the database. Or worst case scenario, I guess. If it's a place I don't go to often, I order what I want. I usually can't finish all of…

I've done WW in the past but it always came down to a money issue. I did a 3-month online membership to try their latest version recently, but I hated their app - no multi-add and not near as good of a database. It would also not update automatically and would often quit unexpectedly on my phone. I also have a…
-
I started and started over on WW many times myself. I'm 51 and after the years of yo-yos and frustration, came to the conclusion my motives were all messed up - I needed a lifestyle change for my health. I don't want to end up diabetic with all its complications, have osteoporosis, or have hypertension like my mom. I do…

Thanks for fixing it - i posted it again anyway. I was too tired to mess with it last night!
-
well, I messed up my first picture and can't delete it, so I'll start over ...

Yep! I can see it in your face and how your t-shirts fit. Keep it up!

I've been using a trainer for 3 months and it has been worth it for me. Keeps me motivated and going. I started out 2x a week and now go 3x a week. I do my own cardio either at the gym or at home other days. If I did strength training on my own, I wouldn't push myself to my potential - I tend to give up too easily.
-
I'm not an expert, but I've been working out with a trainer - he has me do cardio warmup for 5-10 minutes (depending on how early I get there), then strength training -- the strength training he usually has me do is circuit training where I'm using weights or resistance with cardio - and alternating or repeating sets. All…

Were you always overweight? no -- I was always at a normal, healthy weight until I had kids. Or were you once a healthy weight? yes -- until I was about 30 Did you "let yourself go"? -- I wouldn't call it "letting myself go" as in eating everything in sight, wearing sloppy clothes, looking like trash ... even though I put…

I always record everything - sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised that it's not as bad as I thought. One day isn't going to ruin everything - you have to look at the big picture.
-
I've used JogTracker -- free, shows time and distance, uploads to their website to track if you choose.
-
Healthy hair, organs, organ function -- your body can't do w/o healthy fats. Plus - it makes food taste good. I never buy fat free - it's gross, and they've usually substituted more sugar or chemicals for the missing fat.

It took me about a month watching my diet and exercising before I saw much change. Measure yourself. I've lost way more inches than pounds. I'm more flexible (can bend over to tie shoes), stronger (can get up off the couch without hanging on to something), more energetic (I've been sleeping better and not so tired during…
