I believe strongly in NOT eating back your calories. And this is why: I think we overestimate the calories we burn, and underestimate the calories we consume. The data on here is helpful, but not faultless. Some people intend to eat back calories and I think that is setting up for failure. I'm not saying we can't go over…

Not to mention that dairy causes an acidic reaction in our body, forcing the body to neutralize it. When it does, it strips calcium OUT of our bodies. So, everything sucks!

I will add! The Tabata app! You can download it for itouch, iPhone, iPad, or download the HIIT for the Droid.... The tabata app is my favorite tool! Also my garmin!

I love to eat! I eat when I'm hungry. Sometimes I go over my calories, sometimes I don't. I just don't feel compelled to eat my exercise calories just because they are there. I think that type of mindset is still too focused on what we "get" to eat, as opposed to eating the best to fuel ourselves for before and after…

It was one of my most favorite races I ever did!!! The hardest part for me was the run up the mountain, but I loved every minute of it!!!!

Hmmm..... I'm wondering if you can describe your poop in more detail? If we were aware of what was in there... Maybe we could help you better? Did it go ploop, or a loud kerplunk? That would be a good first step.... Any back splash?

OK - I joined but how do we log our minutes?

The problem with diet soda is that will dehydrate you!!! I get so thirsty when I indulge in a can of Diet Coke (which I consider a treat more than a daily drink)...

Honestly, for me, I recognized I was an emotional eater, but did nothing about it for a long time, simply using that as an excuse. When I decided I wanted to really change, I had to accept that I AM an emotional eater, so when I get emotional, I can NOT eat. Plain and simple. I had to do something else. Go for a walk, a…

I limit myself to one, or a small portion. If I forbid myself, I get obsessed. If everything is still available to me, then life is easier. I eat whatever I want, and as a result, I don't want it that much! I let myself have some, not all. I budget my eating around a treat if I want it that much.

Are you saying you took a picture of someone and uploaded it onto Facebook? Because this person was obese? I really hope that you aren't saying you did that, because that's what the argument should have been amongst your Facebook friends underneath that picture.

I started eating vegan for animal reasons and was heavy. Then I decided to focus on health and my body changed completely. I eat some dairy now, so I consider myself vegetarian not vegan. Plus, I wear leather shoes!

I never judge when someone isn't dressed to perfection - I think - good for them - they are out there getting their sweat on. I AM impressed when someone looks fabulous when working out though. I wish I had more money for Lulu Lemon workout wear!!!

I find it makes my skin feel alittle tighter.... but nothing worth writing home about. Unfortunately, there are no miracle cures :(
-
OMG!!!!! LOL!!! Sorry - but that was funny! I don't think anyone meant to be catty - it seemed unusual to log somehting like that as exercise. All cattiness aside - but any activity where you are sitting still and sweating is not going to burn anything except your skin!!!! Trust me - I would be a waif after a summer of…

I CHUG!!!!!

Why don't you just get a baseline - eat until you feel full that day, but log everything you eat. See how many calries you actually consume when you feel full. Then, instead of following what MFP is telling you, cut off 100 calories each day from what you eat for a week. Then you are already eating 700 fewer calories a…

This is how I live!

This is the best advice. Binges are rarely about hunger. Even eating before hand and being full doesn't atop a binge. Binges are emotional, not physical.

One day once in a while eating fewer calories won't kill you. Just like going over one day here and there won't. But in order to keep from yo yoing, you want to keep up a certain number of calories a day.

Me too!!!!

You can not just start running in them once you buy them - you must gradually acclimate your feet to them. I have a pair, but I will not run in them - I need a little more support. My husband is an avid runner, and has built himself up to wearing them for all of his runs. He likes the Merrell body glove better - it has the…

I only do it once a month. Daily or weekly affect me waaaayyyy too much. Hard to deal with the ins and outs of it potentially being water weight, or whatever when I saw the same pound or 2 go up or down. A good solid month will reflect weight loss or weight gain, and makes seeing a good chunk of weight go in a specific…
