Do it long enough and it becomes a habit. Even if my alarm doesn't go off, I'm usually awake by 4:30 (depending on if I went to bed on time) and once I'm awake, it's a done deal. I know that my workout is going to really get my blood flowing and get me energized for the day. I hate working out in the evenings. After work,…

I think the only thing that meal time affects is having the right amount of protein in your blood if you're heavy lifting to prevent muscle breakdown for energy support. Otherwise, in my opinion, it's a non-issue.

Because it can't calculate how many calories you actually burned. There are too many variables to consider in order to do that, how much weight your lifting, the intensity of the lift for you, your own body weight, your strength level to begin with. I wouldn't worry about it though, you aren't burning that many calories…

Cottage cheese has the most protein per serving but you have to watch the fat content. You can supplement with a good protein shake to top you off. There are some that are low in calories but you give up on taste sometimes with those. All kinds of nuts have a good amount of protein. You can snack on those but you have to…

You're gorgeous, not sure why your have self esteem issues. Don't judge yourself based on what others think. You have to love you for you. Anyway, confidence is what a lot of people find attractive, and a great personality. A hot body is just icing on the cake with a great personality or a fly in the wine without.

Well, like with any movie made from a book source, there are going to be some changes. I do like the fact that the last X-Men movie allowed them to totally re-jigger the entire X-Men movie universe to now get it to comport more to the comic. The only thing I didn't like about it initially was who the had on the founding…

I watched it in 3D. I didn't really notice anything spectacular that stood out. I think I would have enjoyed it without the 3D effects.

Again, you don't really know what goes on inside these peoples homes. People do a lot of talking but rarely does the reality comport with the words. For those that think that being a stay at home Mom/Dad is going to be a life of leisure, they're either in for a rude awakening or a ruined marriage. Yes, there are some…

I agree, I only compare myself to someone else if there's a particular aesthetic that I like. However, it's important to realize that not everyone is made the same. I just worry about trying to be the best me I can be and let everyone else be themselves.

I loved the movie, but like with all X-Men movies, I think it could have been better. It's hard to please someone that has been a long time X-Men fan as you can't really capture the feel of the comic completely on a TV screen. The scene with Quicksilver was probably the most hilarious part of any X-Men movie ever made.…

This is awesome! Wow, I can't believe some of these stories. Where are most of you finding these people? My worst first date, the girl just didn't show up or even call. It was OK, I just got a drink and got the number of the woman sitting next to me at the bar. I saw it as a win/win. Second worst first date was actually…

This part would concern me. In a marriage, isn't all income family funds? Although some women are stay at home Mom's (happens less and less these days), aren't they entitled to use whatever income is generated the same as the income generating spouse? Some people like the idea of having a spouse (man or woman) stay at home…

As stated by all of the above posters, just find a good protein that you like. Some market proteins for women specifically because they may have less fat or calories per shake because many women aren't trying to bulk like a lot of guys using proteins. Just find one that you like the taste of (because if you can't stomach…

Being a really small petite female can be a struggle when it comes to weight loss. If your weight loss caloric maximum is around 1200 calories, you really should be a pretty close split between protein and carbs unless you're highly active. You get more bang for your buck out of protein when it comes to how much you can…

Hmm, lots of substitutes out there but very difficult to find one that you'll find as "satisfying" as Ritz. I'm guessing that it's the taste of texture of the cracker that appeals to you so much. I love Ritz myself but don't particularly crave them. Maybe just down your portion size or just go cold turkey.

How long have you been training? Heavy lifting will cause fluid retention in the damage muscle fibers. It's not unusual to see weight loss slow or even stop when you pick up a heavy lifting program. If you're positive you're still eating at a deficit, I would attribute it to fluid retention. For those that have a…

Nothing wrong with them, incredibly high in sodium though. I also feel that the portions allowed in the meals would leave me starving. I could get less calories in a meal than lean cuisine by doing it myself and feel fuller longer. Nothing like a baked chicken breast, steamed vegetables and a baked sweet potato to go. Food…

What's unhealthy about crackers? Everything in moderation is the key. If you enjoy eating Ritz crackers, don't stop as long as you can work them into your goals. I have ice cream now and then and work the my eating habits around that. Eating right doesn't have to mean that you can't enjoy what you like.

Yeah, log as strength training and you'll be amazed at how many calories you actually don't burn doing the exercise. It will likely overestimate because it's based on time, not the amount of weight actually being lifted. I never log my weight programs as you typically will have a very hard time burning more than 100…

OP, I think you've kind of bought into what some of the industry tries to sell women. Fitness magazines and a lot of the fitness industry tries to sell "toning" programs to women simply because women typically have an innate fear of gaining too much muscle and looking like guys, which is very difficult to do. Women just…

Dude, what are you doing to be able to eat that many calories and still be in a deficit? I'm 218, 6'1 and need to eat below 3300 calories to cut.

I just read a report that men are genetically predisposed to be more attracted to women that have a curvature in their lower backs that create a more protruding butt. It implies that men tend to like a but that protrudes (more so if that protrusion is caused by the spinal curvature than by buttock mass) than a non-curved…

Waste of time and money. Idea is that it stimulates activity in muscles that you normally don't hit with exercise because you have to work to balance yourself. You could achieve the same result by using a bosu ball. It's based on junk science. You could have saved your money and paid for a session with a personal trainer.

Banana nut bread from Starbucks.

No cheat days for me. I just eat what I want, when I want, within reason. I just make it fit my overall weekly caloric goal. I'm a creature of habit though so I don't usually venture too far outside the food box on a daily basis. I typically eat food for fuel, not necessarily because I crave anything in particular.

I typically go for the 6 " chicken breast or turkey on honey oat with all the vegetable fixings and some sweet onion dressing, no cheese. Have to be careful though, Subway's sandwiches have a crap load of sodium, but so does a lot of restaraunt fair. It's mostly the meat.

They call it the military diet because it's just a crash diet that a military person may want to use to quickly get under weight maximum. Military members that exceed their weight restrictions face negative reviews and possible administrative separation and use techniques like this diet if their close to (or above) their…

Depends on what your usual workout was prior to the 5 day break. It typically takes about a week of non-exercise to start to see slips in muscle strength but you can gain some poundage during that time depending on your eating habits. Your cardiovascular endurance can take a hit pretty quickly, much faster than your…

I typically don't do warm up sets. I do cardio to get my blood flowing and muscles and joints lubricated and then go right into my working sets. I also stick to a 75% working load for my sets and do moderate reps (typically between 8-10). It works for me and I've seen a lot of growth from it. If my strength plateaus, then…
