I've been doing two very low carb small meals followed by one big balanced meal with no snacks for about a week and am loving it. It's very easy to stick to this for me, but I think the carbs have a lot to do with it. When I eat lots of bread or sweets on their own I'm just hungry all the time. I started this diet because…

I did every sort of diet experimentation known to man, with only mild success. Went to a dermatologist and my skin became better almost overnight. My advice is to just go to a professional. I was also anti-drug until I got my new face.

Amazing! You look great. You also look about 20 years younger in the second photo!

Wow you look great!

I'm Julie. I live in Brooklyn. I've been doing yoga on and off for about 14 years, but it's definitely been more off than on, so I'm excited to commit to somthing. I'm doing my challenge at Yoga to the People in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC. My goals for the month are to get my weight down to 155 by doing yoga and eating…

Where are the veggies? Why are you eating so much processed food? Those are your two problems.

We'd have to adopt.

Why don't you count the number of calories in the food you listed, and see how many that was? Then you will know if you're in the ballpark or not. I'm no expert but it doesn't look like you're eating enough fat, which is important for satiety. Also, make sure you're getting enough B12. I had a kombucha drink today which…

Whenever you order something at a restaurant, immediately ask for a takeout box. Then, eat the box.

I have a wedding that day, so I can't make it. :( Have fun!

Hiya! I have a bike. I like to ride across the Williamsburg Bridge, down around the bottom of Manhattan, then up the west side bike path until I'm tired and then back the way I came; or sometimes I go across the Williamsburg Bridge, up to the Manhattan Bridge, over that bridge, and then back down to my home. I also like to…

French fries, biscuits, chicken fingers, ice cream, cookies, cakes, muffins, chocolate croissants, candy bars.... Wow, now that I think about it, I really used to have a crappy diet! I still have my off days, but I think I'm getting much much better!

Personally, no, but anything with sugar alcohols, like some protein bars, eep. I ate one a few hours ago because I ran out of my other ones and my tummy is already mad at me.

Congrats on starting your new diet. Don't be too hard on yourself. Your weight fluctuates a lot from day to day, so it's hard to tell just in one week if things are working. Keep tracking and reevaluate your diet and fitness plan after a bit more time has passed. For me, it usually takes six to eight weeks to tell if…

Good job so far! I quit just over a year ago. I found that the Livestrong app was a really helpful motivator.

I agree with the post above. If you like your current diet and exercise plan, I would stick with it for a few more weeks. Personally, because my weight fluctuates so much during the day, week, and especially month, I usually can't be sure I'm doing something right until I've tracked it for six to eight weeks. I weigh…

New outfit at each mini-goal. New outfit plus shoes at final goal. Oh yeah :)

Nope. No cheating. I used to do this, somehow thinking it would help my metabolism. All it did was make me feel like a pig and undo all of the work I was doing on other days. I'll have treats, but only when I have enough calories left over. Today I was way under my cals so I baked cookies.

I quit smoking 388 days ago. What helped me was using the Livestrong quit smoking app. Keep at it until you succeed!

I used to be a member of the "you have to eat all the time or your metabolism will slow down" cult, so I would eat every couple of hours. That didn't really work for me, because I felt like I could never have a full meal, only table scraps. I've done IF and I liked how it made me want to eat healthy foods during my feeding…

If your doctor recommended this level, I don't think it would be dangerous for you. In my opinion, you really can't judge it by week to week. Even though you don't think it's water weight, it could be a number of things, undigested food in your guts, anything. Since overall you are down, I would say go for a few more…

I want to lose 25 pounds by June 22, 2013...the first day of summer! That puts me at needing to lose just a bit more than a half pound a week, so I think that's resonable! At that point I'll be 142 pounds at 5'9", and can decide if I like that weight or want to drop it down another 5-10 pounds.

It's possible to exercise like a crazy person and still put on weight. I went on a bicycle tour, albeit an easier one, where we were cycling between four and nine hours a day doing between 35 and 75 miles a day, sometimes up mountains. I figured I could eat whatever I wanted, so I went all out (ice cream, chips, steak,…

I used to be like this all the time, but I've changed now. For example tonight my husband's getting home late so I started snacking before dinner. All of a sudden I got the urge to say, "screw it I'm baking coooookies!" but then I stopped and thought about it and realized my hunger would subside in a few minutes if I just…

That's only a little under a pound a week. IMHO you're doing fine and should just keep doing whatever you did to lose those first two pounds.
