I'm in the SAME situation... i got a back injury last summer and haven't lifted since. (back then, I didn't even take my metformin at all, I just ate clean & lifted) My A1C went from 8 to 5, but it's now back up to 6. I have been 100% inactive in this time. This time I am taking 500mg Metformin, and doing a lot of cardio…

I buy Frozen Chicken Breasts - I defrost 1 or 2 Breasts in the fridge overnight. The next day it's ready to go. The oven is probably what causes dryness/shrinkage... On the pan w/olive oil takes only 10 minutes.

It may not be popular - but CUT out the veggies/greens. They have low nutrients per cost. I'm the King of low budget... #1 Costco or warehouse club is ur best friend; buy in bulk. #2 Stick to milk, eggs, bread & potatoes (the basics) - they're all rich foods at low cost.

ExRx.net is the Oxford Encyclopedia of exercises. It might look confusing - Just click the body part you want to work (ie, Thighs), and it will show you exercises for that (ie, Lunges), and you will see good form, and a breakdown.
