Don't beat yourself up over the the fact you had a few weeks where you just said to heck with it. Sometimes we all just need to eat what we want, as long as it's not too often. ;) In the grand scheme of things two weeks of crazy isn't going to mean anything and the main thing is that you have made a lot of progress and are…

I completely second this. Don't take weight loss advice from people who A.) Haven't been that size and lost the weight. or B.) Don't have significant experience assisting those who are and were morbidly obese. The rules are different, and these people telling you to force yourself to hit your "suggested caloric goal based…

I agree completely. And I think those of us who have been heavier longer, (14 years in my case) have a tougher time breaking down those mental barriers into acceptance..

I'm not so sure I wouldn't trim your calories some. Especially the carbs you eat past the afternoon. And don't play the gross/net calories game. Set your caloric limit for the day and try to hit it without factoring in the exercise.

After 80 pounds I still do that. I watch the scale thinking and remember when it popped up at 368. While I feel a lot different, and I'm wearing smaller clothing, I don't honestly see the results much when I look in the mirror. Sure, I can see more definition in parts of my body, and I do get excited by that. But it's…

Guys notice, we always notice. Don't think he hasn't noticed. And don't think he doesn't like it. HOWEVER It's very possible that he doesn't want to…

Totally. My spread usually varies depending on the structure of my day. After breakfast all bets are off. and if I find myself at a deficit at the end of the day and I'm not hungry? To heck with it. I'm not going to eat just for the sake of it if my body doesn't need it.

I agree with most people in the thread. No, surgery itself isn't going to fix the root of someone's weight problem, which is their lifestyle. I've seen people lose 250 pounds after gastric bypass only to stretch out their pouch of a stomach and gain 150 back. For a very small group of people, sure, surgery is a valid, if…
