No, you should be losing weight from eating at a calorie deficit. Exercise does not necessarily help you lose "more" weight. So if you're just running and still eating at a calorie level that allows you to maintain (or not gain), no, you shouldn't be losing weight.

If you have knee problems, try the elliptical. It's very low impact but if you go hard enough, you can get your heart rate up and get a great workout!

My goal weight is 140, size 8. Right now I'm 180 and a size 12/14.

not being besties with his best friend who I was roommates with. She started to hate me after she set us up, because I found out he was her fallback guy if her current bf and she didn't work out (which they didn't). He ended up picking her friendship over me, and their friendship was over a couple weeks later. Sad, really.

Once it starts happening, it's like everything is fuzzy and kind of muddy, so you're trying to strain your eyes to see the picture clearly, and then suddenly everything brightens and you can see it all perfectly, and you're like "OMGOD, IT'S BEAUTIFUL!"

Definitely planning ahead is the key. Plan your whole day ahead of time based on your schedule. If you don't have the app on your phone, at least get into a notes thing on your phone (I have a super "dumb" phone and have a notes app) and just log simple things. "Apple 60, string cheese 90", etc. and keep track that way so…

Cookies and cake aren't a problem for me. Candy and sweet things in general are. I LOVE baking, so resisting the urge to eat everything if I do give into my baking urge is what gets me. I love to lick batters, and taste everything while I cook/bake... that gets me into trouble. :\ As far as sweets on an everyday basis, I…

lol to your response, OP! Some people just do not get it. *sigh* Sorry you're having a tough time with this *kitten* of an ex-friend.

I would say California, but now my least favorite brother lives there...lol. Maybe Hawaii or Nassau in Bahamas.

Strength training helps burn fat and build muscle. The more fat you burn, the lower your body fat % becomes. The lower your body fat %, the more visible your ab muscles will be (provided you've been building abdominal muscles).

The shower. Although now I discovered (via Pinterest) that the soap scum is easily removed with dryer sheets. The floor however, still gross. Especially with bf's dark black hair all in a pile in the corner.

Pop all your pimples so there is no pus adding to your total!

Honestly, I think if you're 15-20 lbs from your goal, 1500 is probably not high enough. Start lifting heavy and eating more, focus on protein and good carbs. And you could stand to work out more than 3x a week, as well.

The only thing I don't like about Subway is their high sodium breads. I usually order the flatbread chicken sandwich with lots of veggies and avocado, and low-fat sweet onion sauce. Yum, yum!

No, no. Wheat is not fattening, and neither is pasta in general. Processed carbs (white rice, white pasta, white potatoes, sugary vegetables) turn into glucose which turns into fat... just ration it. I still like white flour tortillas better than wheat and I HATE brown rice so I still eat white steamed rice. I just try not…

Y'all look great!! I love having someone to keep me accountable. Started this time around (just this week!) again because of a friend.

My experience with eating out usually works well like this: - Find something that is the healthiest, or at least lowest calorie you think you can fit into your day...and eat half. - Or have one cheat day, a week or a month. I'm trying to do mine once a week. It won't be eating whatever I want all day, just a little wiggle…

Definitely eat carbs. You're not fueling your body enough. Or if you're going to think carbs are bad, eat "good" carbs which would be whole grains and veggies & fruits.

20-25 minutes depending on what time of day I go. On the way home at night, I can get home in exactly 20 minutes. Usually if I leave my place at 7:30, I can get to work at about 7:55 if I'm lucky and people are driving THE SPEED LIMIT on the highway... during the day, it goes a little quicker.

because BMI is not reliable. it doesn't take into account your body build. you might have a big frame but it just assumes you're "average" build and thus, you're overweight.

I think it's rational. I would say if you want children though, wait until after you do that... otherwise, I think it's a fine goal. If you feel it would make you more proportionate and you would feel better about yourself, why not? I personally have always wanted a lift. I'm 23 and wish they were a bit perkier. BUT,…

I just started back eating healthy & today I officially lost my water weight so hopefully by Monday I can have lost my 1 lb for the week. WOO HOO! Feels good.
-
I would say don't lift heavy, and work on bodyweight exercises with your arms like push ups, planks, etc.
-
This sounds great!!! Last time I was working on my plank, I was able to get to 1 minute in just a few days. Time to pull out those pinterest workouts!

Well, in two weeks I'll have my financial aid refund (bought my books online so I have a little leftover, yay!) and I'm going to buy some new Nikes for running. I haven't run all summer because my running shoes hurt my feet. SO... starting then, I'll be running non-stop, doing some yoga and pilates, and am going to…

First off, I know how that feels. I have hated MOST pictures of myself ever since I've gained the weight I originally lost in 2010. I was finally feeling good about myself and I gained it all back, and am now starting over. Second... I definitely regretted not taking GOOD before pictures once I HAD lost the 21 lbs. So,…
