Firstly, good for you for coming to MFP. Secondly, 30 pounds in 2 months sounds a bit quick, especially for someone in school and focusing on grades and is 15 and growing a lot still! My best advice is to stay as active as possible, and set your caloric intake to whatever MFP advises. Keep the protein pumping and stay…

Eggs and oatmeal. Eggs are great because after two or three of them, maybe with spinah and garlic, and I'm super duper full. I don't like them every day because who doesn't like variety, but after a few days of lower protein I can find myself feeling somewhat deprived. Eggs always seem to do the trick! Best of luck!

I have no idea about Activa, but I've heard great things about a tea called "Smooth Move Tea"...it's a ridiculous name, I know, but it apparently works super well and is all herbal and natural. I've only had it a few times when I was really bloated and needed some help, but I have some close family members that use it on a…

Thanks everyone! I am still weighing as frequently as I did before, and though it could be sodium or whatever, I'm definitely seeing a small difference that's freaking me out. I'm still counting calories and everything, but you're totally right - it's not a free for all and that's sort of the mindset I'm stuck in. I love…

I'd say if you're getting the calories from working out, you can get away with these snacks. However, I would advise having less of the junk and trying to slowly replace with healthier foods like raw carrots or popcorn with no butter or salt. As this can be a drastic change, don't go all cold turkey, but it will definitely…

Personally, I weigh it depending on what the entry is on the site. Example, if I'm weighing grilled chicken and entering it as grilled chicken, I weigh it after it's cooked. If the nutritional info I can find is not specific to cooking method, I go for pre-cooked and add whatever oils or anything I'm cooking with.

It's just www.mybodygallery.com. I like this site too.

My scale doesn't understand me either, so I usually weigh a couple of different poses and positions. :p My boyfriend thinks I look ridiculous, but I take all of the numbers into account and think of it like one of those graphs with lots of dots...over time, you can see a pattern even if there is some data that is overly…

I've never done it, but some co-workers of various lifestyles and sizes are having tremendous success with it. I personally think the 17 day diet is awesome - but keeping up after you have all those strict rules is the real challenge.

I love chewing gum to help, and I find it really helps me stay away from boredom eating or drinking too sugary of drinks...unfortunately, I have a pretty severe jaw condition which makes it really painful to do. :( But, chew away! I strongly suggest the apple pie flavor form extra.

This is something I'm intimidated by, too! I don't know if I have the guts to get over it, but POWER to you! Also...I love the idea of taking pole dancing classes or something. That's awesome!

Unfortunately, there's no magic answer except for the one that's right under your nose - and that's burning more calories than you eat. My best advice is to set your weight loss goal to 2lbs per week, log EVERYTHING, log your exercise calories and eat about 50% of them. That's the magic that actually works, give or take…

I love it! It's all about finding things that will help cravings and are in the calorie budget. Good for you!
-
Congrats! That's a huge deal!

I don't know but I'm guilty! Right now I'm thinking how delicious almost anything sounds...I'm not hungry, but I'd eat almost anything right now. What the hell.

OMG, I'm here with you. My boyfriend was like, "You don't really care about Valentines day, right? We might as well not do anything." I agreed at first because I didn't want to freak out, but later made a point that "Yes, let's do something. Yes, you plan it." However, we're celebrating in March because of how crazy our…

I can't speak for all types of contraceptive pills, but I'm on a generic of Loestrin FE (microgestin to be exact) and I've noticed absolutely no effect on my weight.
-
This is all great advice- thank you. I've been suspicious about this and it's nice to hear that I need to eat more. In a strange way, it's hard for me to mentally transition from really restricting to a time when I should be thinking about maintenance. I did get my hemoglobin checked a few days ago when I tried to give…

My highlight is being able to see a difference and feel confident in new size S clothing ...losing weight in places I didn't expect, and keeping my boobs the same size! Sorry if it's TMI, but hey, I feel blessed!
-
Personally, I've never felt any weight gain side effects on a generic of loestrin FE. If anything, it's made my periods super light or even non-existant...which is obviously stressful. I like the idea of implanon...any other people who've tried it?

greek yogurt, fruits/veggies that will last a little while, high-protein bars. good luck to you! I started losing weight while living in dorms (the first 20ish pounds) and it's not easy. You can do it though!!

If you have netflix, there are some great workout videos there. If you aren't willing to put out 8 bucks a month, there are some good ones (especially yoga) if you give google a good go.

Yep, I always count them. They do take up calories, but not very many, and with how I look at it, even if my diary doesn't know all the calories I ate, my body does and it's the one who decides to take off weight or not.
-
I tried this! However, my first choice was the eye-catching "Hot Yoga", which I highly suggest to anyone home alone and/or a group of ladies (or any people interested in males) who happen to also be having cocktails at the time of doing yoga.
-
I looked at your diary, and honestly, I'm not sure MFP is the place for you. Here people are more focused on health, and you seem to need help getting MORE calories into your diet, not losing any weight. Just my opinion.

This! I'm on the hourglass side of pear shaped, and my stomach is always how small changes happen first. Thighs and upper arms - super tough for me. It depends on your build! That's part of the fun though, finding out!
-
LOL! See a doc, friend. Or take a pregnancy test. Or both.
-
Here's to hoping, haha! My boyfriend is really supportive and leads a really healthy life, so spending time with him has definitely helped make this possible. Good luck to you!

For me, it's less about small steps and big steps and more about day to day mindset. I've found with small and big goals alike that I WILL mess them up occasionally. However, what's worked for me (so far) is the refusal to give up. On previous attempts to lose weight, I would mess up, and just give up. The hard part that I…
