Ya'll, thank you for the responses. I went with a low dietary cholesterol, low trans and saturated fats, high mono and poly unsaturated fats, and high fiber diet. I exercised 3ish times per week, and had a glass of wine or so occasionally but generally didn't drink a lot. My cholesterol went from 285 to 203 in 7 weeks!!!…

Cheese, of all variations.

I just found this and I really like it! I'm not a huge video (or class) fan, and this structures it so you can do it at your own pace. http://www.buzzfeed.com/sallytamarkin/get-fit-bodyweight-exercises

I really like the nuun idea...that looks interesting! I'm thinking about adding more microwave noodle stuff for lunch. Not super healthy, but it would be easy with my schedule and bump up sodium. Maybe cottage cheese for breakfast since many of my issues happen in the morning? Also, I do recognize that I eat a lot of sugar…

Thanks! These are all great ideas! :D

AWESOME. With many family members who are low carb/gluten free/keto because of diabetes, celiac, or epilepsy, this is awesome. This holiday can be very stressful for those with diet restrictions because family members aren't sensitive enough to cook foods they can eat! Love all of the ideas. Inviting to all. If someone…

Hello fellow snackers! Try these: -gum -iced tea (sweetened with stevia or nothing) -coffee -nuts (almonds are a good one) These keep my hands/mouth busy without being too sugary or going bad too quickly.

This is a question for your doctor. That being said, I have been on various pills for years and have not had any weight gain/loss. There are so many different balances of hormones that compose these prescriptions, and your doctor would be the one to ask about trying a different combination. Additionally, there are other…

Thank you! I needed the explanation - the post of just the numbers went over my head. I'm no expert just yet. :) This is helpful!

I'd love to know why it's not - this is why I'm posting. Other suggestions? Lower fat, higher protein? Open to other suggestions.

Aaand thank you. :)

I'm focusing more on balancing macros as opposed to low calorie. I find I have much better energy and more consistent weight loss when doing so. Additionally, it's really hard for me to stay under 120 in carbs and be over my maintenance in calories.

This seems like a good idea. Today was a rest day for me. Thanks!

Yum! Thanks for sharing. These are a few recipes I like to make in bulk and put in freezable tupperwares. Take them out the night before, and voila! CHEESEBURGER QUICHE 1 pound ground beef 1/3 cup onion, chopped, 1 3/4 ounces 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced, 1 1/4 ounces 2 eggs 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup cream 8 ounces…

Don't cut back on protein.

Without knowing how long you've been tracking, my best advice is to get checked out by a doctor. If you're really being honest and staying under calories and gaining weight, a doctor might have something to say about it.

Bump! :)

1. Ask your trainer her/his thoughts. 2. Make sure you're eating enough/resting enough. 3. Listen to your body. This sounds crazy, but as someone who herniated a disk by working out too, there were signs where my body was telling me that it was too much. Listen to that.
-
"I don't really like it." "I'm allergic" If anyone pushes you to eat it after you say you don't want them...smile, nod, walk away, ignore.
-
If you're healthy and you're happy, love yourself and start for maintenance! Congratulations! :)

This.

Levi curve ID: Bold curve :) They have one that's more curvy, too. Bold curve is what works for me.

Listen to your gut on this one. If working out is making you feel good and you feel it's healthy, than it's definitely helping your body. It's common to gain weight while your body holds on to water after working out. Protein won't make you heavier. That's silly. Eat more protein.
-
Hm....With that small of a starting weight and the main goal to make your stomach smaller, I encourage you to look into weight lifting and strength training as a way of changing your body instead of losing weight.
-
I would classify that as moderately active. Try eating 1800 for a week or to, and try to listen to your body. If you feel low on energy, try eating a bit more. Additionally, you will notice a difference in your energy depending on your balance of carbs/fat/protein. For long days, I'd definitely urge you to stay away from…

I just signed up with Pact...it syncs with myfitnesspal and runkeeper and keeps you honest with your goals.

Start taking body measurements. Measure your waist, hips, etc. weekly and see that way. That's significant weight...there are surely changes.
-
Everyone prefers to weigh in at different times. Personally, I weigh several times a week, but many people weigh once weekly. Many suggest that you don't weigh at all, but you take measurements of your body around your waist, legs, hips, etc.
