I'm a runner. Done quite a few 5km's, a 10km, and a Half Marathon. Currently training for a 10km in August and a Half Marathon in September. I'm in the UK so currently running in the rain  Have sent you an add.
-
I'm doing my 2nd Half Marathon in September, just started training for it last week  I don't plan to eat at all during the race, energy drinks will be fine. When I'm training I don't take water with me but I do make sure there is some in the car for when I'm finished. That is assuming the run is no more than an hour…

I'm hoping to do a Half Marathon in Warrington on the same day as the GNR. You're doing really well to be running 6 miles after 2 months, it took me ages to get past 3 miles  Have sent you an add.

I have a profoundly disabled teenage daughter. Any other parents of SN children please feel free to add me :flowerforyou:

you're driving somewhere unfamiliar and it's uphill, and you wonder how hard it would be to run up. Then you wish you were running up instead of driving. Then you wonder if you can schedule coming back so you can run up that hill!!

Hello

Good morning from Cheshire

I'm checking in for the week, been soooo busy:smile: I completed the 100 mile challenge whilst also completing my first Half Marathon, woohoo!! The course was re-measured after the event and found to be 0.3 miles too long:noway: , and my adjusted time was 2hrs 20mins which I am really pleased with. I am totally chilling…

I buy my shoes a whole size bigger. What stretches do you do? My knees hurt when my ITB is tight. This week I think I have stretched longer than I have run!
-
Just popping in to say hello :flowerforyou: I am soooo busy right now, I am tracking my calories but having to cut back a lot on internet time. My first half marathon is in 2 weeks time ........ yikes ....... then my first triathlon is 8 weeks after that  April, you put so much effort into the weekly challenges,…

I'm from Cheshire, have sent you a friend request  Any other UK people please feel free to add me as a friend!

Thought I'd better show my face this week  I've had the most silly week ever, some emotional stuff early on, totally redecorated my daughters bedroom in 2 days (never again!), and baked a policeman birthday cake for my son today. I've managed to be reasonably sensible with my calories, have run 2 x 4.5 miles, and…

Checking in at the end of the week  SW 147 CW 146 I said I wasn't weighing today but I could tell there was a loss there! I've done ok on the challenges except I did have a meal out with friends. We meet up once every 4-6 weeks for lunch and we always have a really good time. Went over on my calories that day but it…

Thanks for the new challenges April  I'm just checking in for this week - will report back in a few days. x

So Saturday morning is weigh in time. I still haven't lost any weight :noway: I'm still my starting weight! My personal trainer keeps telling me not to watch the scale, to concentrate on my fitness and my shape - I think I am going to have to do that now  So .......... absolutely no weighing myself for at least 2…

We have a few challenges given to us at the beginning of the week. Weigh in day is the day of your choice. Some people update through the week, some don't. It's very relaxed here
-
Some do offer discounts, and some don't. I know my first gym didn't, it was the only gym in town, if you wanted to be a member you had to pay full price! There's a few to choose from where I live now, and when I overheard someone in the changing room saying she'd negotiated a lower fee I thought I'd try my luck!! It is…

I got the official go ahead to start running again today - YAY    Good job really as 6 weeks tomorrow I travel to a whole different country (Scotland:laugh: ) for my first ever HM!! @Pink - I am a member of my local gym and I really like it there. It's full of very normal people who are either trying…

Thanks for this weeks challenges  I think I will combine 2 of them. I'm going to cut out my lunch time latte and switch to a glass of water. The scale one IS hard!! I never used to understand why people would weigh themselves so much, and now I do it too :blushing: I decided to run yesterday, I'm still supposed to…

I have stayed the same this week. I haven't had much chance to exercise but have stayed just under my calories all week. I did, however, change my goals to a half pound loss but continued to lose 1lb a week for 4 weeks, so I guess it was always going to catch up with me  I am REALLY hoping for the all clear to run…

Another running addict here with shin splints!! So frustrating! I think I wore my old trainers out and damaged my calves, I didn't realise you only get about 6 months out of trainers when you run regularly - I have a note in my diary when my current trainers need replacing - I'm NOT going through this again, it's been 6/7…
-
Count me in again  Thank you April for all your work setting up the challenges. I'm hoping to have completed my first half marathon before the 70 days are up, so the 100 miles should be do-able! I will struggle with the water challenge - I always do - but I will try. The scale challenge has come at exactly the right…

Quickly checking in! Another 1lb loss  SW 153 CW 148 GW 146 I weighed myself on Friday morning just before we went away for a long weekend. If I lose anything this week I will be amazed, a maintain will be fine:smile: Got home at lunch time and managed to get on the tea time spin class at the gym tonight, now have a…

Yay, well done!!!! I'm down a pound again this week. Slowly but surely ..........!! SW 153 CW 151 GW 146 I've changed my goals. I don't want to harp on(!) but I hurt my leg and haven't been able to run and I really struggle keeping under my calorie allowance. So I'm now aiming for half a pound a week until I'm back on…

Thanks for this weeks challenges! Homemade food is no problem, I make most of our meals. A really simple idea is veg & lentil soup. I tend to buy a bag of ready peeled and chopped veg, add some lentils in a pan, add some stock water , bring to the boil, simmer for 20-25 minutes, then it's done. I usually blend it too, but…
