  • I'm pretty sure maggots are a complete protein, which is an added bonus! You will be fine. I'd drink lots of water to flush them out of my system just in case, though. ;-)

  • I thought that the body burned roughly the same amount of calories running or walking. Try using the exercise calculator on this site. Also, a 9K is so ambitious! I know you'll do great. I am training fora 5K in June. I'm using the Couch to 5K program, and I'm at the end of week 5. Good luck!
