  • I like OxyElite Pro (old formula). It's only recommended to take 8 weeks at a time, and after that you get used to it anyways. I suggest learning how to do it without a diet pill, but I've used OEP for plateaus and I think it helps.
  • 66 lbs (well 65.5 but close enough!) " fats and oils an average American eats in a year " how fitting! lol and also that sounds really gross
  • I am totally okay with people who have no interest in getting in shape for aesthetic reasons only, but there is nothing wrong with that. Taking care of yourself and wanting to look a certain way doesn't make you a "self-conscious person who needs to rethink their lives" and I have to wonder why you'd jump to such an absurd…
  • SW: 185 CW: 119.5 GW: 115-117 (taking it slow) Weigh in Dates: 10/1 I didn't weigh in this morning so I'll just use 119.5 which is what I weighed a few days ago 10/8 10/15 10/22 10/28 End of Month (or whatever weigh in days you use) Total weight lost: Just for fun: What is your favorite Pumpkin recipe that will help reduce…
  • I also just wanted to add that I have been there right along with many of you, starting and quitting! My ticker says I joined in May 2011, but I didn't start using it until November after gaining an additional 20lbs. And I was on here for a few months in 2010 also. Sometimes it takes a few tries until you really get it,…
  • I started in November 2011 (when it says you've joined) and I've lost 65 lbs so far! My advice is don't make it harder than it needs to be. Start with just focusing on calories. Pick an easier goal, not 1200, and ease your way into it. There's no reason to cut carbs immediately and you shouldn't have a headache after 3…
  • lose a few inches off my hips and be in maintenance mode while still working out regularly.
  • I think that stores should offer more sizes, both smaller and larger. I'm 5'6" and 119, pretty thin but there are people a lot smaller than I am and I wear a 0 and xs. I wonder where the really tiny people have to go to get clothes that fit right.
  • "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." applies to pretty much everything, diets included.
  • Not a good idea, not effective for weight loss and bad for your overall health. Also against community guidelines, and I expect that this thread will be locked soon.
  • I think you might be taking things a little personally, most people aren't thinking about other people's bodies when they comment on their own. Like, I don't think my body is exactly where I want it to be yet, but in no way does that mean I'm trying to put down people who might be bigger than I am. If I was debating on…
  • If you are eating 1500 calories and burning off 400, you are not really getting 1500 calories, you are getting 1100. Does that makes sense? Stick to 1500 but eat back what you burn while exercising and you'll feel a lot better and continue losing weight. Don't make things over complicated, but knowing about net calories is…
  • You're not supposed to eat 1200, you're supposed to NET 1200, you're only netting 1100. MFP does not suggest having a net intake below 1200.
  • It just depends, but there's no way that your boobs weigh more than a few pounds so the weight is definitely mostly coming off in other places! I am 5'6" started at 185 wearing a 36DD, I'm now 120 and wear a 32C (and sometimes the 32 band is a tiny bit loose but I can't find anything smaller). It's actually a big…
  • thank you :flowerforyou: of course it's not the right weight for everyone that's 5'6", but it is for plenty of people who have small frames (like myself)!
  • You definitely could be right, but I was just going by what she said in her posts. And also, it was only for 3 months and she's young and plans on maintaining (which I assume means an increase in calories), so there are worse things a person can do. Most people have no idea how to lose weight when they first start out,…
  • I don't think I asked for your opinion, thanks. I have nothing to defend or justify to anyone.
  • I'm not projecting anything, maybe it was just reading your post along with everyone else's that made it seem rude when it wasn't. Not directed towards you, but there are more helpful ways to offer constructive criticism to someone than how many choose to do so on the forums!
  • You're all actually reporting someone who said they ate around 1200 calories, without exercising, because you don't like the types of foods she ate? I think that's a little ridiculous. Personally, I would not eat the same thing everyday for 3 months, but if she is getting enough calories and has energy and feels well, I…
  • No, but it was implied. I don't think having tons of energy and feeling better than you have in years is a common symptom of an ED, and she even stated that she was eating about 1200 a day, which is really not that extreme either.
  • that's pretty rude, you don't have nearly enough information about her from one post to try to diagnose someone with a real problem online.
  • I don't know that I could handle eating the same thing every day, but congrats on your loss and your increased energy! that's great! If you feel good, that's all that matters!
  • that's happened to me a few times, but usually when that happens I lose less for the next couple weeks! my weight loss is lamost never consistent though, not even a steady lb a week, but I'm also not consistent every week either so I expect that.
  • welcome to mfp! It might seem hard at first, but it's really not too bad at all if you stick with it! Obviously there are a lot of benefits to exercise, both for your health and your appearance, but it isn't necessary to exercise if you don't want to. If you eat 1200 calories, you will definitely lose weight. How much…
  • in my experience, this is true! Your shape will most likely stay but you'll just be a smaller pear! I like this shape though, so I don't mind :flowerforyou: But I am struggling to lose the last bit of unwanted fat on my upper legs, it's definitely the last to go for me!
  • Me at 5'6" and 185 pounds and some more recent pics around 122-125 pounds I am still pear shaped and I want to lose more on the tops of my thighs and my butt, but overall I'm really happy with my progress and I'm almost to my goal! hopefully these pics all post at a normal size!
  • We're all different, but I'm 5'6" and 121 so I think 5'5" and 125 is a reasonable, attainable goal. My goal is 115 and a lot of people think it's a bit low, but usually they are people who weigh quite a bit more than that so I just think they don't really know because it just sounds low to them because it's a lot less than…
  • 185 at 5'6" I have a small frame, so it was not a good weight for me
  • it's most likely at 1200 because you selected lose 2lbs/week and not the recommended 1lb/week. Change it to lose 1lb/week, and be sure to add in your exercise (although the database will overestimate some, so it's best to eat back 2/3 of them and not all). Stick to that and you will get results!
