Shana tova! What a great way to celebrate a new year. I had to get a new suit as well for the holidays. It was a nice (but expensive) feeling.

I don't add in my exercise. Those calories are added benefit for the weight loss. It messes with every number, not just calories and makes things difficult to understand where you are and where you are supposed to be.

I work at a school where we teach a foreign language, which means all of our computers are set-up to work in both languages. I enjoy switching the default language on people. They get really frustrated when they can't get Google to work as it should.

Good job! Its a great feeling when you hit accomplishments like that.

It makes me realize what a difference my weight loss has made. I'm proud of those pics and I'm proud of the new pics. Embrace it because it can motivate you to keep going!

The only other thing to look at is your exercise. Over the past month, I have not been able to exercise as much as I was doing previously, and now that I'm getting back into the routine, I dropped 5 lbs in a week. Its just important to not be discouraged and to use MFP for support.

Sorry for forgetting to check in last week. Weigh in was 288.8 for 9/9.

My physician told me not to add exercise in because it messes with all of your numbers. Plus, any calories burned during exercise will only help you reach your goal faster. Depending on your daily calorie allotment, if you don't need the extra calories, then don't eat them. I'm still able to be fulfilled only using my base…

Its great that you're getting back on the wagon. Hopefully the support of others in the MFP community will help you stay away from the book of excuses.

I checked with my physician about logging exercise calories and eating them back. She suggested not logging exercise because the calories burned during exercise are bonus weight loss. So far, I've loss 54 pounds in 4 months by not logging exercise and not eating back exercise calories. Ultimately, everyone is different and…

If you have a Men's Wearhouse in your town, I would suggest buying suits/pants there. Once you have an alteration done (i.e. take in the waist), they'll keep altering it for free. I've been keeping all of my pants somewhat fitting by taking groups of pants there. They are starting to also do my suits as well. Its great…

Great job! Its wonderful that you're making sure your suits will go to good homes.

I'm currently in a physician-managed weight loss program. My doctor said to not include the exercise because it throws off everything. My theory has been that the workout calories burned are bonus for weight loss or a way to feel a little better if I go over my daily allotment. It all depends on how quickly you want to…

I am a bigger fan of Android because it is not as proprietary as the iPhone. You get a lot more flexibility with Android in terms of phones and service plans. Its just that iPhone led the way with apps and all that, but Android is equally good.

I weigh myself twice a week under the same conditions (time of day, clothing, etc.). Your weight can fluctuate greatly because of water weight, how full your stomach/bowels are, and sometimes what seems like just how the wind is blowing. If your scale is too convenient, maybe you should move it to a place where it is not…

I go to the JCC because I work on the same campus as the facility. Even though I end up "working" while working out, the fact that I can go straight from my office to the gym has been very helpful.

I do not eat them back and consider them bonus calories burned to speed up my weight loss. I found when I tried adding them in on MFP, it threw all my numbers out of whack and just became more confusing.

I'm so honored to have won this week! The mini-challenge will be to try one new type of exercise that you have not done before. (I haven't done one of these before, is this a good challenge?) Good luck everyone.
