Whatever you do, do NOT get the kind of boots with the tassels that hang down. One thing that really added fuel to my fire for cycling this year was using MFP to see how many calories are burned doing just one hour of cycling. I could sometimes add an entire day's worth of calories just from doing something I enjoy! It's a great way to lose/maintain weight.

I have found that black tea gives me constipation. It's known to be an astringent so you might want to see if it has that affect on you. Other than that, I don't think there are any drawbacks. I love tea! Wish it loved me back.
