  • @MusicalMelanie11 Awesome update! Well done! I'm due to do my w5d3 run today too. Its bloody hot here today so I might have to wait until later this evening. I tend to pass out in the heat. Not fun. lol.
  • Me too!! I did w5d2 yesterday, no problem! 2 years ago I couldn't get past week 5 and quit. This time I'm determined!! day 3 is mine!!
  • I'm on week 5 and I'm running very slow. My focus is to get to a point where I can run and control my breathing properly as well as keep good running form. I tried c25k 2 years ago and couldn't get past week 5 because of my breathing and ankle/shin pain so I'm determined to do it right this time. I'm with taeliesyn,…
  • Finished W5D1 this morning. I honestly thought I'd be redoing week 4 a couple of times before even attempting week 5 but I figured all I can do is try it and I actually finished it no problem! I'm doing it on the treadmill but plan on taking it outside soon, even if I have to start over from day one.
  • Yesterday I was supposed to do w4d3 but because I woke up late for my night shifts only had 15 minutes to spare but I got on the treadmill and walked for 2 minutes and then ran for 10 minutes straight! Its the first time EVER I've fun longer than 8 minutes. I attempted c25k 2 years ago and got as far as 8 minute runs but…
  • @showjumper Great job!! I'm hoping to take it outside soon myself. I do W4D3 today on the treadmill. When you say you knocked yourself way back in the program, how long were you able to run outside compared to the treadmill?
  • I use the free Songza app and use the category Preformance enhancing :pop, for cycling, which i found has a bit faster beat/minute rate than the running one. lots of great music and there are other genres if pop isn't your thing. I love it!
  • I'm using the treadmill right now but plan on taking it outside at some point. That is my ultimate goal. THis my 2nd go at C25K. I got as far as W5D3 last time and couldn't get past the 20 minute run. This time I'm starting on the treadmill, presently on W3D3, and once I get back week 5 I plan on starting from day 1…
  • W3D2 done yesterday. I'm pretty proud of it too to be honest. I didn't think it would happen. I've had a back spasm for 3 days and yesterday I worked 12 hours, up at 4am with little sleep do to a sick pup, anyway long story short when I got home I didn't think I could walk the dogs for 30 mins let alone run but we got our…
  • Personally keto or lchf will be the way I eat for the rest of my life. I have PCOS (an endocrine problem in case you don't know) and would go without a monthly cycle for a year or more unless on medication. Since changing to this way of eating I have had a regular 28 day cycle every month now for the last 18 months. After…
  • Thanks for the replies. If I can get up at 330 am tomorrow I might do my run then, depends on how much sleep I can get tonight. I've really noticed that being tired really wrecks havoc on my run. I'll play it by ear for now. I really want to stick to the schedule though.
  • Thank you for posting this! after reading some speeds I actually checked my treadmill to see if it was in kph or mph because I'm walking 2.5-3 mph & my runs are 3.5, sometimes 4 if i'm feeling frisky. I was starting to think I'll never get this if I can't run as fast as other people are walking!! I'm glad I'm not alone. I…
  • Thank everyone for the advice. Last time I attempted c25k I stuck to the schedule & moved forward when I wasn't ready and then couldn't get past week 5. This time I don't care if I have to redo week one a hundred times, if w2d1 doesn't feel good, i'll go back and redo week 1. I think keeping a running log is a great idea.…
  • I did w1d1 today. Its my 2nd crack at this. I got as far as the week 5 20 minute run last time & couldn't make it through so I gave up. I"m determined to make it this time, no matter how slow I have to run, or how many times I have to redo a week. I will finish! I'll be 50 in just over a year & have about 50 lbs to lose.…

  • Add me to the restarting list! I've been struggling since a trip south in april. I've started over this week as well. Feel free to add me if you like
  • Hi I sent a request. I'd love to join. Thanks
  • I fell off the wagon before christmas, eating lots of no no foods and I felt it immediately. Achy joints, upset stomach & bloating, diarrhea (tmi sorry) head aches and stuffy sinuses. Overall miserable.
  • I ordered a plum in large on amazon. No time listed for date of delivery. Its still showing 8-10 weeks on fitbit.com . I ordered from amazon because the order can easily be cancelled if I happen to find one in the store. I've heard its difficult to cancel an order from fitbit.com. I hope it come quickly!
  • I'm in canada, that is what they say on their website too, but they only have it in black
  • Did you order the black one? and how long ago did you place your order? I really want the plum one but am afraid if I place my order, with 8-10 weeks for shipping, that I might find one before that in the store.
  • I went on the site & it when I got to the page where I put my address in it says Pre-order,ships in 4-6 weeks. wth? I thought they were available now!
  • I followed a low carb diet years ago and I followed total carbs at the time and did well, but struggled to maintain my diet. Now I use net and although I can stay on plan much easier I lose weight slower. Some people subtract sugar alcohols to get net carbs as well. I think doing that is a problem for me. I start eating a…
  • I'm so jealous of all you AMericans with your HRs!! Its not available here in Canada yet. You can preorder it from bestbuy but only in black & I want the purple. I hope they come out soon!
  • I use my Magic Bullet daily to make my Bullet Proof Coffee and other than that I love my Ninja!! Its great for all the chopping & dicing & stuff. also a mandolin is great, even a cheap one makes life easier.
  • 11/19 for me. a vital member of the team but not as great as I thought I would be. lol
  • I use flax muffins as my bread http://www.food.com/recipe/one-minute-flax-muffin-low-carb-295649 without the stevia & cinnamon and I put it in a square container to cook it. Then I slice it & toast it a bit. works great!
  • Mayo! I love mayo. and bacon.....yummmmmm. But my biggest issue was that I missed pizza. I couldn't find a low carb/keto crust I liked but I finally made one I like (I mix eggs with unflavored protein power & almond flour and herbs & spices to taste, plus a bit of xanthan gum to thicken it all up. It makes a perfect crust!…
  • Your doctors approach is similar to the OKL groups , where the protein is a lot higher than traditional keto. I tried it for about a month and initially lost pounds that had been stubborn on regular keto. But now I'm gaining so I'm going back to traditional macros. I think if you are not comfortable with what your doctor…
  • I think the sugar alcohols are my issue to be honest. My sweet tooth has reared its ugly head of late. Russell stover & sugar free ice cream are not my friends. I've tried the OKL keto way for a bit now and initally felt great & dropped a few pounds but now on higher protein days I've gained weight. Time to get back into…
  • The only time I've seen it green is if I ate a lot of spinach or kale, could that be it?? I had a white one last week. don't ask me what I ate. No clue! :noway:
