Me either, in fact I've never even had a driving lesson, and I'll be 40 next year!

I'll be 39 this June, 40 next year and definitely hoping to be at goal and maintaining by then. I've made a good start, but still a long way to go, just about to start C25K, and hopefully start swimming again, now that I can possibly get in the pool without starting a tidal wave! Good luck to you all :flowerforyou:

Ignore the sugar in fruit, pretty sure no one got fat eating a couple of pieces of fruit per day.

Here's another mile for you, good luck! :)

Hi there, feel free to add me too, I'm always in need of laughs!

Hi, I'm Angela, my superpower is still buried under a layer of fat, but I'm working on setting it free!

For me, planning has been key. When I'm doing it right (which isn't always by any means!) I prepare all of my lunches for the week on a sunday, and know what I have available for dinners. When I get into work in the morning, I enter everything into my planner, and then I know what I have left for snacks etc. Exercise is…

Hiya, and welcome. I was about 330lbs when I started, so also really struggled with exercise. I did a lot of walking, even though I hated it to start, and I also bought an exercise bike. I started off doing 10 mins at a time, which was a massive struggle, I did that for a couple of weeks, then increased it to 11 mins, and…

I'm not a beginner, and my head is spinning, so I'll just say to the OP, eat the potato, it's all good! As an aside, I made leek and potato soup for lunch, I left the skins on, because I think it gives it a bit more flavour, and you don't really notice the texture once it's been through the blender.

The washing machine in the apartment upstairs going into spin cycle.

I'm not convinced the area I massage has any fatty deposits to break up, but better safe than sorry I suppose! :blushing:

wow, just look at you, totally amazing, and such an inspiration for the rest one us. Fabulous :flowerforyou:

Without wishing to get in the middle of a big argument, I have to agree that a short time eating under 1200 won't do you any harm, especially if you are still hitting around a 1000, but as a suggestion to help you get some more could you possibly drink some milk, hopefully that wouldn't make you so nauseous. Hope you feel…

excellent, I just snuck out of the 230's this week, it feels good, well done to you :flowerforyou:

I don't do this during the week, because I am still at work or travelling at the time I want to be eating, and I don't really want to eat that large a meal so late in the evening. However, it works for me at the weekends. I might eat some yoghurt or fruit during the day, and several cups of coffee, and then a decent meal…

I just finished 11.22.63 by Stephen King, loved it, have literally just started a free kindle book called Summon Your Dragons by Roger Parkinson.

Well, thank you for the replies, even though they are two completely different opinions. Perhaps I will wait a bit longer, just keep encouraging her as best I can to do it safely, and see if these others keep commenting or if her eating patterns change for the worse. I really don't like to interfere with what other people…

I plan my day, log it all in the morning when I get to work, and adjust as necessary if I eat more or don't eat something. Planning is key for me.

definite bump!

To me it's definitely a help, although I did lose some weight before I found this site, and the myriad of diets I have tried previously have given me a basic grounding in nutrition and the way I need to eat to lose weight, I find that planning out my day keeps me on track, and on days like today when I have eaten some…

This just reminded me of a situation that happened the other week. I got a friend req from a fairly new person with a similar starting weight to my own, and a message with it asking what I had done to lose my weight. I accepted the request, sent a fairly long reply saying what I do, but also mentioning that as our domestic…

I also make a big batch of something on Sunday, normally soup, or a pasta or rice dish with loads of veggies, that can be heated up, I don't even worry about freezing it, as long as it's in the fridge it keeps all week.

I log mine when I get into work in the mornings. I eat the same breakfast most days, and I prepare all of my lunches beforehand, so then I just have to decide what to have for dinner. Sometimes I change my mind and have to go back and change it, but it's not hard to do, and I really do think that planning has been key for…

I exercise most nights, after I have eaten, not too long before I go to bed. Hasn't hurt me.

Whilst I understand that you were upset, I think that it's something that has happened to a lot of overweight women, it's happened several times to me, but I don't think people are being rude or insensitive, they genuinely think what they think, and probably are trying to be friendly by asking. Instead of getting offended,…

For the sake of accuracy I would just log half a pint or quarter pint of milk in your snacks, not because I think the cals are particularly important, but sometimes it helps to look back at the times when you were doing well, especially if you hit a rough patch, and so the more info you have available, the better.
-
The deficit should be 250 cals per half lb loss per week, so if you went from 2lb per week to 1.5lb per week your cals should have increased by 250. So, either you have mistakenly changed it to 1lb per week, giving you the extra 500 cals, or you had previously manually adjusted it to only allow 1200 cals, or you have/had…

A 2 month old horse, but I'm looking to lose an average human male! (hopefully I can exchange him for an extraordinary one! )

Hi and welcome, I have found this site brilliant for allowing me to still eat the things I like and lose weight. I find the best thing is planning ahead, the journal allows me to put in what I am planning to eat, and then see if there is still room for a treat, or to adjust it if necessary. Good Luck :flowerforyou:
