Thank you, everyone! I am so glad to have reached some of you with my post. :) I believe keeping at it and not letting your "medium effort times" (which I'm certain we all go through at some point) ruin your perspective on the entire journey is what really, truly matters. I am prone to thinking, "Oh, this meal was good,…

Thanks, guys! Feels good to get positive feedback. :) Now I'm curious to see where I'll progress to in the future. No pressure, but with a focus. Seems to work for me. The best to all of you on your journeys! :)

I agree with the others: The changes are still fresh, so they'll probably need some time to get used to the new you. And if they don't know what the intermittent fasting is about because they won't listen to your explanations, then they might be assuming you're starving yourself all the time instead of trying to be healthy…

Thanks, guys! Sorry for replying so late. I was trying to figure out what I actually expected by posting this thread. I guess friends requests ...? Except I don't know. :p I'm not sure I want to be a "friends collector". I think I'd be more comfortable with just a few who actually talk to me once in a while (don't need to…

Yeah, you may be right about that one.

Count me in.

Ha! Just looked at this thread again, and saw that I wrote "crispy" instead of "crisp". I wonder what brought that on. ;)

Oh, I'm glad we agree on this. And yeah, having Australia in the back of your mind is a good thing, but then it can't hurt to make the best of your situation now, regardless how long you'll end up staying. Me too, I looked at your profile, and Germany is really not that bad if you give it a chance.…

No pro at weight loss or moving overseas, so I can't say if it works, but maybe try to make the new country your "hobby" ...? Like, find out what (healthy) foods are traditional there, start walking, biking, running around to explore the area. Start taking pictures and blog about your experiences. Stuff like that. The…

Ha, I'd like for this autopilot thing to happen to me. Seems easiest ... I guess I'm still motivated because I sort of made MFP my hobby, the logging, reading the message boards, the blogs ... Now I feel as if I'm part of a big community, so if I don't stay on track, I am excluding myself from a big party.…

Hey aarar! I looked at the links you posted (thanks!), and now I'm just scared. :no_mouth: Anyways. Congrats to you again!

I'm lost for words. This is awesome, inspiring and ... yeah, nuts. Congratulations! 100 times: Congratulations! I meant 105.8 times, of course. Also, there's no 500 or 1000 km thing or something, is there? This is as bad as it gets? Cause I hadn't ever heard of an ultra-marathon before, and still can't…

Oh, another good goal ... I should add that to mine!

Hm... for this 75-day challenge, my goal is ... shedding 20 pounds. I should have lots of time to exercise in October, so jumpstarting is the way to go for me. Other goals would concern the path to get there rather than just the destination: establishing a workout routine and tracking my food intake so that I learn how to…

Hey guys! I'm a day late, but I guess that's okay?! I only joined MFP today, all very new, exciting, and I'm looking forward to the results of this group! :)
