this!! I work night shift and I find myself eating to stay awake or out of boredom. I just go searching for food....it's terrible. I try to make sure I have several choices of healthy snacks to choose from so I don't eat stuff I should not. But it is still challenging!

Thanks for posting this thread....I work night shift and I drink alot of coffee and I struggle with this greatly! I am gonna try a few of everyones suggestions, things I would not have thought of otherwise. I would say you probably have the strength and just don't realize it. If you don't try free weights, kettlebells etc you won't develop your stabilizing muscles that you use so much doing that kind of lifting. actually alot of times it will help to work out when you are sore. Your soreness is usually lactic acid built up in your muscles and when you workout again, it helps to release it . Coffee!!! and sweets. I have both still daily. and I can't drink my coffee black, so yes I use creamer or milk and sugar. I also have something sweet every day....it may just be a sugar free pudding cup or a small piece of chocolate, but it is something. I just make sure I am always still in my calorie range.
