Well the last time I was less than 10 pounds from my target weight was 6 years ago after my first son. I just kept increasing my exercising, but maintaining my intake. It took a few weeks, but eventually the last 5 finally came off. Those 5 were always the hardest to keep off, though. In any event, maybe you could try…

I count 24 hours as one day. That is, my day begins at 7am and ends at 7am the next day. I work from 7pm to 7am and eat a meal and snacks on those days that I work, but on my off days I eat typical times. To keep me structured, i just keep it the same everyday. Exercise too.

I was always told that continued stress will continue the splinting. Choose a different type exercise like swimming or rowing or even bicycling or elliptical for a good 4-6 weeks(time needed for fractures to heel) and then reinstitute running. Hope that helps.

I too am a shift worker. I work from 7pm to 7am and until I joined MFP did not realize that most days I was eating four meals instead of three.
