I agree: get an HRM (with a chest-strap), you won't regret it! You will be actually surprised to see how many calories you actually burn in a single workout!

Just add a tablespoon of olive or grapeseed oil to your veggies or your eggs. Add an avocado and some nuts (almonds, walnuts are the best). You'll be surprised how quickly and easily you can add those extra calories in a form of healthy fats to your daily food!

When you cut the carbs, you need to up your fat: add avocados, healthy fats such as coconut oil, olive oil, tuna fish, salmon, nuts, etc. The fat will give you the energy (and more energy than the carbs). I have no cravings at all and I am never hungry, and I eat under 30 g of carbs.

You should get a chest-strap Heart rate monitor and use it when you're working out. It will show you calories burned. I personally put that under the Cardio section on MFP and put in the calories there. Works for me. I know that I burned those calories.
