I've personally found it all too confusing too. MFP gave me 1200 and that's what I try to stick to but my advice initially would be, go with moderate activity but include everything extra you do in the log, walks, keep fit DVDs etc as it gives you extra calories each day and put the minimum allowance on for breast feeding…

I'd heard, possibly somewhere on here, that skin takes almost as long to shrink as it did to stretch. Not sure how true that is but if, like me, you've gained your weight over many years it could be a bit of a waiting game but regular exercise can't hurt, can it? Good luck with your goals and don't be put off by something…

Facebook??? What's that :ohwell: joined MFP a while ago but didn't really stick to it until I found friends on here. Now I'm 10lbs lighter and more motivated than ever before. Always happy for new adds, bevp123.....x

I'm from Reading, Berkshire and would be happy for any adds, bevp123. Set my goal at 2 stone, done 10lbs already thanks to MFP and the support on here. Good luck with your goal. x

Hi and welcome. I found having a selection of friends on here helps me with the highs and lows and is great for motivation. Add as many as you can and check the news feeds daily for added support. You're welcome to add me if you like, bevp123. Good luck with your goals x

I was always a sceptic but went to one a year or so ago out of curiosity. I didn't tell her my name, phoned from work, didn't even give her clues along the way yet she told me things no one coud have known, even people who knew me. She told me I had a daughter, even described her hair. She said I had lost my father, said…

You are not alone, food is every emotion for me, happy? I eat! sad? I eat! When I've binged and feel bad, I eat! I even treat myself with food when I've been "good". My hubby is supportive but likes the larger ladies so losing weight has to be my choice. If you've already accepted that the changes are for you then half the…

I'm loving MFP thanks to the motivation from the friends I've made. Tried and failed many times but since finding friends I've been better, 35 days in a row so I know it helps. We're all here for the same reasons. Would be more than happy for more adds, bevp123. Good luck x

35 days down and 8lb lighter  Had great days but also very bad days and not shifting at the speed I'd hoped :explode: Would've usually given up by now. Having friends on here has kept me going:heart: . Sharing the good and bad, highs and lows. Also looking at the various diaries has been a massive help but still got…

I'm loving MFP and it's fantastic having supportive friends on here but hoping more support will equal even more lost pounds. Never stuck to anything before this but things are on the up (or should I say, on the down!) Would love more adds, bevp123, and good luck to all. X

I'm the same and we're all human but I've decided enough is enough and MFP has been the boost I needed. Have some really supportive friends on here but hoping more support will equal even more lost pounds. Never stuck to anything before this but things are on the up (or should I say on the down!) Feel free to add me,…

You are more than welcome to add me, Bevp123, everyone is. I was failing fast until I added a few friends and it's helped with the commitment and is very motivational. We all need a little shove now and again. Good luck x

Everyone is welcome to add me, Bevp123, we're all on here for similar reasons and the more support the better. Look forward to hearing from you x

I do it all the time, especially when we've had a roast and there's no room in the fridge. Obviously there's a risk but isn't that the same with everything? If you eat and it makes you sick there's no guarantee it was the chicken anyway, so many bugs going around you can get just as sick from thin air....just my opinion.…

Welcome and good luck with you goals. I joined MFP a while ago but kept giving up. I then decided to ask for support, found some companions and have stuck with it ever since. Just your news feed alone reminds you you're not alone. Over 8lb lost already in only a few weeks and can already see and feel a change. Even on bad…

I completely agree. I won't run, infact never have as I hate the thought of it. However, a few years back I started walking to work and dropped 2 dress sizes without watching my diet at all. I sadly moved offices not long after and stopped. Weight soon piled back on. Now I'm on a mission and am watching what I eat but it's…

You are not alone and you will find a wealth of support on here. I did and the weight is shifting (slowly) thanks to the motivation this site and the friends on here give me. You're welcome to add me if u want x

I'm starting a fresh today after trying (and failing) countless times. I have alot to lose but am concentrating on a stone at a time..... well that's what I am telling myself once again ;-) Would love to add a few like minded people for motivation. I'm in Reading, UK, and would welcome anyone. Please feel free to add me…
