Hi, I was finally diagnosed a year ago after battling with pain for 15 years had being told it was just lower back and referred pain. I find weight loss an even bigger challenge with the Fibro as it's a vicious circle of needing exercise to lose weight but pain hindering the exercise. Happy for the add and good luck to all…

Thanks all. I am a week on and although I don't feel any difference pain wise just yet, I am certainly looking at everything I eat and checking for sweeteners, additives and such like which is making me more conscious of what I consume. I am also weirdly craving diet drinks which must be a sign that my body is cold…

Thank you ladies, that is already very reassuring, at least makes trying worthwhile. I hope you continue to see improvements. Will report back if I have a success story too.

I once read on here that if you drop your mobile phone you don't then take a hammer to it.....that sticks with me now. I still binge, we're only human, but it makes sense to me that when I do have a "bad" day I try my best to leave it behind and not "take a hammer to it". What's the use in punishing yourself. You'll only…

I agree. I get paid to take crap all day from angry people who call up and act like its actually MY fault and speak like they know me personally.....rudeness beyond belief, words used that are only found in the urban dictionary! I love my job and take great pleasure from being extra nice back. The angrier they are the…

Thank you both. I found special k products were a much lower way to go when I had a snack attack. Unfortunately, I find myself eating them when I really don't want them so although healthier, it's still calories I shouldn't be touching. I even hear myself saying "dont eat this" just as I put it in my mouth. I realise it is…

Tried and failed, side effects were dreadful but my own fault for eating fat....I realised it was a doctors way of teaching a lesson about healthier food....kind of like that nasty bitter polish you put on your nails to stop you biting them....I simply stopped painting my nails with the stuff and also stopped taking the…

Today I'll stay on track because I can't keep making excuses and I owe it to myself and my family.... P.s I love this post and reading everyone else's reasons is very motivating.....Thank you x

Thank you both. I think it's the old fashioned mind set that you must eat less to weigh less that stumps me. I guess I know it's wrong and certainly wouldn't starve myself but there are also so many opinions on it and what works for one may not for another.

I love broccoli but there is a UK shortage so it's very expensive at the moment. Loving the roasted cauliflower recipe and definately looking into the negative calories idea....thanks all x

Thanks all, I'm guessing concentrate on the calories and make sure what I eat is balanced then? x

If you excercise you can add it on here and just eat back the calories. It seems to work for many and surprised me that I should eat what I burn. I always thought less food more excercise was the only way to go but MFP already works out what you should eat to lose and if you do excercise you simply need to refuel with good…

I've sent you an add request, welcome and good luck with your changes x You can never have too many friends for support x

That's what I used to think but I'm finding logging everything (including the binges) helps me see what I've done before having a mini melt down and piling more in....no-one punishes you for going over your calories except you ;-) Stay positive x
-
I wouldn't personally log it but some clearly do and you'd be surprised at what's listed under food for certain things consumed......hopefully at no other time but during sex.....if at all!?!

The weight watchers eating out guide is fab for gauging the good from the bad and helps me make "better" choices. It lists so many common UK eateries, pizza, KFC, Indian etc etc.... I don't even follow WW but I do use it for reference. Enjoy your night out whatever you choose x

Let's face it, if you tell a man no, does it stop him? And if he's allowed to do this it stops being a forbidden fruit.... I kinda agree with the old "why eat burger when you have steak at home" but the occasional greasy burger surely helps highlight the quality of the meat in your fridge??

36 and feeling it. All adds welcome x

Welcome back and good luck with your goals. Not sure I'd have come this far without MFP and friends. Been back on here for 80 days lost 12lb and still not given up. Ups and downs, I won't lie, but glad I found the site. The news feed is so motivating for me, good and bad. Happy for more adds too ;-) X

I seem to hit the self destruct button with a small binge just because I'm stressed or a little down then follow it up with this excuse, almost as a punishment. Why do we do it? It leaves me feeling ever worse and off goes that vicious circle. Any other suggestions on how to snap out of this?

Great explanations, thanks so much. Wish I'd seen this years ago instead of being queen of yoyo diets x

Ha ha, I love that my hubby doesn't need any of those when we're alone....!
-
The key for me is to log everything, good or bad, and to try not to feel guilty. I don't deny myself anything so I'm not craving what I can't have but I am trying to eat healthier foods, drink more and excercise more, just without putting too much pressure on myself. Try putting everything in the diary regardless of the…

Sessions booked but would still love some advice. It's not the same as laser lipo so would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced this before. Thanks x
