"all of these fad diets "work" for 7-21 days simply because you cut down on your calories and shed some of that stored water weight. this is why the weight loss industry "markets" these as 7-day or 10-day or 21-day crash diets. if you don't know anything about water stored with glycogen reserves, you'll step on the scale…

I really liked it. The first couple of weeks are the toughest so try not to get discouraged. You will see results.

Well hookers blow. It's a no brainer IMO

So when the weekend was done I started P90X and it help a lot with detox. At first doing the cardio hurt so bad but I noticed that it got easier really quickly. I could take deeper and deeper breaths everyday. It was so thrilling I didn't want to look back.
-
I did it too. I tried the patch but it fell off in the middle of the day and I didn't want to waste a new one so I just decided to wait till the morning. The morning came and I decided to brave it. It was a weekend and hubby was home so I let him watch the kids while I "detoxed" (i could fall asleep standing up because of…

I have to agree. That comment was completely unnecessary.

For me...personally....the line is drawn at what I can afford and what I can't live without. Boxed dinners (hamburger helper etc) I will not buy. I do buy organic cereal but rarely eat it (cereal doesn't agree with me). I buy my veggies, fruits, and eggs from my local farmers as much as I can. I get organic if I can afford…

Eating "cleaner" makes me feel better. It's not for everyone. Do I think it's necessary for weight loss. No. How do you NOT get that this is opinion?
-
As far as a clear cut definition of clean eating.....I don't think there is one. If there is it will probably change tomorrow. For me....it is what I said.
-
LOL. So you want specific scientific studies that prove to you that it makes ME feel good? LMFAO. I think you are reading more into it than is actually there. If I want to make a homemade Grassfed burger Wth do you care. I do believe you need to read the OP again. I eat this way. I like it. Eat what you want. Who gas?
-
That is what I mean by clean....non processed. I don't get where ppl are talking about cleanses and stuff. Lol. Is this the enema thread? Whoops my bad lol
-
I do believe I said that I don't eat clean all the time. I just stated that I try to and I feel better when I do. The chili dogs were fun but not for all the time. And eating clean means you eat things as close to their natural state as possible. I'm not always able to do that. But I do when I can. Why so snarky? Can I not…

I am not smug. LOL. (still think 68 and getting her workout on is friggin awesone!)

I feel the same way. Eating "cleaner" makes me feel better. It's not for everyone. I do eat "nonclean" foods as well occasionally. Had chili dogs this weekend. Do I think it's necessary for weight loss. No.

YES! The first week or two is the toughest! But you will get stronger quickly and you will feel (if not see) so many changes in your body. Don't discount the nutrition part if the program either.
-
Those people have already been through P90X before (among others). The program was originally for ppl that were fit but wanted to cut. However...many have started with this and been successful. Tony himself tells us in every one of those disks that you may not be able to pump out those moves like the ppl there. Go at YOUR…

Oh and the 9 lbs has been with 2 and a half weeks off from exercises and my "settling in" period for changing up my routine.
