That's exactly how it works with me too. I think it has something to do with endorphins and the plain old fact that work does good to he/she that does it.

It's normal for your weight to fluctuate on a day to day basis (that's part of the reason why I only weigh myself once a week). When you weigh, I would measure also (sometimes there will be no change in weight but you lose inches and the clothes fit better). If you exercise and gain muscle mass, it weighs more than fat…

Sorry to hear that. Hang in there. Do something to take your mind off of things. I go for a run to clear my head.

[ Tongue In Cheek ] The way I see it, when God created man and woman, he created them 'au naturel'. Later, he ask them about the fig leaves they were using, and then He made them coverings from animal hide. Don't remember there being any mention of shoes. LOL

It helps just like you say. I've been measuring every week since March.

@bgelliott Funny, but True!

Loved it!

It's my favorite app. MFP is my favorite website. My second favorite app is one to remind me to drink water throughout the day.

And all this time I thought they were singing ""My Sharona" - The Knack (1979) LOL

As long as it doesn't wind up as a clothing rack or place for the cat to curl up, you should see results. One thing I can guarantee you, the original owner didn't get much out of it. You at least got it out of the box. That has to count for something. LOL

I feel much less guilty calling it a "free-day" than a "cheat day". Like some of you, I tend to keep it to one meal as opposed to the entire day (although for Thanksgiving, or Christmas I'll probably make an exception). Like the rest of you, I don't feel I should deprive myself, so I allow myself to eat whatever I want…

Well, I heard enough positive buzz about POTA that I finally went and saw it tonight. It was... interesting. Again, like C&A it was good, but not great. The special effects on both were unique. The Aliens in C&A were almost laughable when compared to what Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) had to face down in Aliens (1986). I…

I've lost 40 lbs eating the majority of my calories between 5 pm and 5 am (also burning the majority between 8 pm and 4 am.

Here all this time I thought, "If it takes more than four hours to pass through the system, it isn't clean (but once it's gone... that's another story)." LOL Really great information Berni! Thanks again and apologies (after the fact) for my sense of humor. It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

Try regular Chicharrones, preferably unsalted. Take a dry blender and put in some cinnamon and sugar substitute ( like Splenda - the granulated kind for baking with). Hit the button on the blender a couple of times. Put the mixture in a seasoning dispenser. Open the back of Chicharrones and shake on the seasoning. Fold…

The point was he didn't ask her to stop, he just deleted her posts with out communicating with her the reason why. When she asked him why, he was offensive and deleted her friends status. She was just responding out of frustration to his definitely un-gentleman like treatment of her.

If your husband says boo, he's probably getting you ready for a scary zombie date night movie. Fright Night anyone? (will the cheesy 80's franchise reboot revival never cease?) LOL I totally get what you meant by "calling me his boo". If he called me that it'd be over between us too and I don't even know your husband.…

I let my wife choose and so obviously we saw Harrison Ford & Daniel Craig, I mean Cowboys and Aliens. It was a good movie and we enjoyed it. It just wasn't a great movie. Some of the acting fell victim to cheesy story writing and dialog, but hey, you gotta try and deliver the lines they give you, right? The buzz around the…

Bump for recipe starting the thread and for: stephanielynn76 on page 11. Throw in a little Nutella and some nuts* for a not so chunky monkey? *Stir the nuts in after freezing, but before it sets hard.

Seriously? What she said ^^^^^ Consider yourself kicked! Now turn around and give me the boot.

That last quote finally gets to the heart of the matter, COMMUNICATION. If he had just politely PM'd BamaMomma, explained his situation and asked her to please not use pet names with him, she probably would have not had any problem doing that. Instead he deleted her posts (which IS rude, uncaring and thoughtlessly mean).…

Love it! Hey guys, I think we're supposed to be looking at her new running shoes. LOL

I'd count it since you said you're self-classified as sedentary. It's either that or update you lifestyle setting to something higher to account for it.

I tell her every day. *** whispers - " That's my secret to 25 years of wedded bliss" ****

Thanks for the kind words. In truth it's my wife who supported my efforts to get in better shape. After a while of seeing positive results she decided to join too. Now I struggle to keep up with her. She's awesome!
