Switch to natural and away from processed sugars. anything that you have to chew (and chew and chew) is good too. I find myself taking forever to decrease my lap times because when I force myself to run faster, I pound the pavement harder and wind up with shin splints! Then it takes weeks to recover. Not quite the same problem you are having, but it's been my biggest hurdle.

I drink several pots per day along with 12 or more cups of water! Sometimes I think it actually helps!

I take my measurements once a week, along with my weight and percentage body fat. I track my kilometers run and calories burned each week as well. They rarely all go down at the same time, but something always does. I track it all on a spreadsheet that looks like this...

Just be sure to keep your HRM updated with your current weight as your weight changes. Enjoy your big burns while you can because the skinnier you get... the harder you will have to work to get the same burn.

I do both at different times depending on my moods and what my body is craving. Sometymz my body just sayz "Son, get your @ss to the gym!" Mostly it's larger amounts of healthy food!
