  • It's pretty much always birthday cake where I work (doctors office...lots of nurses, front office workers, etc.). Or doughnut day, or pasta-lunch day.. I feel your pain.
  • Thats how I feel! I'm like, I just worked by booty off to burn those 500 calories, I am not gonna eat 500 calories worth of food just because I can. Now, tonight my husband and I are going to my favorite bar/steak place and I intend on eating (drinking.. I need a beer after this week) them back..lol. But definately not an…
  • I'm in the same boat... MFP set mine up to around the same as yours, it was over 1500 I know but can't remember exactly. I cut it down to 1400 just because I felt like that was a good number to try for, but if I go over a little I don't stress since I know I would have been allowed more. I am actually under most days, and…
  • I work in a doctors office and we have lunch usually 3-4 times a week...and usually some kind of breakfast (doughnuts mostly). I bring my lunch. Everyday. If I know ahead of time what they're bringing (like a specific restaurant, sometimes they'll tell us ahead of time) I will figure out what I can eat and get that and…
  • My thing that I keep telling myself is just "keep going". At the gym, when I feel like quitting because it's not fun, I keep going. When I feel down because I have so much to loose, I keep going. I won't lose it otherwise. Have a bad day? eat too much at one meal? Keep going, one day doesn't ruin anything as long as it…
  • I would like to be trying to start a family...which I told myself I wouldn't even attempt until my weight is under control. I've wanted to be a mom since I was a kid and realized I could someday... My dream!
  • I am definately a numbers person... the scale matters more to me than it should probably sometimes.. :ohwell:
  • I personally don't eat back my exercise calories... Sometimes if I know I'm going to be eating more (going out to dinner, family gathering, etc.) I will make sure and work out harder/longer to burn more calories, but that is the only time... So basically I don't purposefully think, "oh yay, I burned 600 calories now I can…
  • I'm new here too, with 100+ pounds to lose! Feel free to add me anyone, I am just now today realizing the awesomeness that is MFP, and the support that comes along with it! I have been using it just to calorie count...I only today even found the message board! haha
  • This made me laugh so hard! the way you round up weight is how I do age.. like "I just turned 24, which is pretty much 25, which is basically 30. Which is half of 60"... haha.. I had a breakdown that sounded like that a few days before my birthday. About how I was almost 60 with no babies yet...hahahah .
  • Very good point! I hadn't thought of it in terms of percentage... I will try to be more excited about my progress from now on!
  • Thanks guys for all your responses! I know I have an unhealthy scale relationship. I even had my husband hide our home scale but I went and found it like a pyscho. I did make little goals for myself and each time I lose 5 pounds I'm buying myself a new lily & laura bracelet.. (my favorite thing to buy..and then I'll be…
