I just filled some capsules with potassium chloride - I can take them with a cup of coffee or tea. I imagine you could do the same with whatever other powders you're using in your homemade electrolyte drink.

Dark chocolate truffle Sushi or teriyaki?

She's already seen a doctor and been allergy tested. She asked them about her diet and was told to keep doing whatever she's doing and to avoid allergens. All she's looking for here are recipes...

I've been making fat bombs with equal parts coconut oil and 86% dark chocolate. 10g of the 86% chocolate only has 1.4g of sugar. I melt these together, then add 1 tbsp of heavy whipping cream. It's surprisingly sweet enough, without the nasty taste of artificial sweeteners (which I cannot stand in any amount).

Only 2.3 miles today - gonna have to work harder tomorrow!

Manitou Falls is beautiful! We were just there in June. I walked 3 miles yesterday for a total of 8.6 so far.
-
I walked 4.1 miles today without even trying. Shopping with toddlers will do that for you!
-
Only got in a mile and a half today, as I spent the morning waiting for a phone call and the afternoon and evening picking up the BMW Z3 we bought on eBay. Tomorrow should be better - I'll be chasing toddlers all morning.

I'm 52 and accepting friends!

Count me in! I'm aiming for 100 miles in September. I'm also doing No Sweets September.

Mine is pretty simple. I mixed equal parts of coconut butter and natural peanut butter and put it in a mini-muffin tin by tablespoons and store in the fridge. Then, I take one of those and melt it together with a small square of 85% cacao dark chocolate, then mix in a tablespoon of hwc. The only sugar in it is the tiny bit…

I need to make these for my upcoming camping trip. How well do they keep without refrigeration?
-
Feel free to add me as well! I'm 52, and I was tired of starving on 1200 calories and not losing weight. I've been doing keto for a couple of weeks.

My favorite fat bomb consists of 1/2 tbsp coconut butter, 1/2 tbsp nut butter, a quarter-ounce square of 85% dark chocolate all melted together, then stir in 1 tbsp hwc. Tastes like a rich, not-too-sweet fudge. No sweeteners of any kind except for the little bit of sugar in the chocolate square, but after dropping sugar…

World's easiest veggie smoothie: 1 cup V8 1/2 cup greek yogurt Just stir, no blender to clean. And it's a nice change from sweet smoothies and yogurts.

I like to pan fry it in water and serve it with teriyaki sauce, rice, and steamed veggies.

I've been using it to make a peanut-miso salad dressing - 1 tbsp PB2 1 tsp rice vinegar 1 tsp sugar 1 packet miso (from instant miso soup mix) A few drops sesame oil or 1 tsp sesame seeds Water to make it the right consistency I pour this over salad greens, and sprinkle the dry miso soup packet over it for garnish. Works…

Mashed potatoes are okay if you put brown gravy on them - the more gravy the better! For breakfast tomorrow I'll have white bread with nutella, coffee, and raisins. But I won't ride my unicorn until I'm done eating.

Count me in too! I'll be 50 next month, been going through peri for over 3 years. I'll be so glad when this is all over.
-
Simply amazing. Back to the original topic, or at least a little closer, "I'm eating nothing but salad - how come I'm not losing weight?" Maybe because you're using a bottle of salad dressing every day?
-
Welcome, Rachael! This is a great site that will help you learn what to eat and how much, and reward you for your hard work. Just be totally honest with it and it won't let you down. There are a lot of great people here to support you through this. If you want, you can add me as a friend. Debbie

My everyday car is a 2003 Pontiac Vibe with 190,000 miles on it that gets 34 mpg. It's actually a Toyota Matrix, but I like the looks better. Our SUV is a 2002 Mercedes ML320 that we bought used last year for 1/5 the price that the original owner paid. We love that car - has all the bells and whistles and feels so secure.…

I was just talking with my husband about this very subject, and basically said the same thing about being accurate with your counting - both on food and exercise. Why bother using MFP if you're not going to do it right?
-
Not to mention how good they taste! I'd rather eat cherries than a candy bar.
-
My biggest challenge is exercise. Any exertion brings on a hot flash, especially in warm weather. I'm not sure what to do about that!

Most of my friends are twice my size (no exaggeration), so I don't even tell them I'm watching my weight. My husband thinks I'm skinny enough already, but I know better. So I completely understand where you're coming from.
