  • Motivation can certainly be hard to find when it comes to anything in life really, especially something as difficult as weight loss. Surround yourself with good people who support your goals and want to help you achieve them and that's a great start to your success. However, much of it does fall on you as well I really…
  • Well don't give up this time keep yourself honest and keep pushing through regardless of what problems you run into! I'm always here to support!
  • Squats Squats Squats, and if you get tired of that dead lifts and deep full ROM leg presses.
  • To be totally honest as of right now outside of school, working out, and tweaking my diet (which I honestly love to do, can't even explain how much) there isn't a whole lot.
  • 5 days a week monday chest, tuesday back, wednesday off, thursday shoulders, friday arms, saturday legs, sunday off. On off days I try to make them complete days of rest your body certainly needs it if you're training/doing cardio 5 days a week.
  • You will be totally fine not eating breakfast. Many bodybuilders claim the body will go catabolic after not eating for 6-8 hours but in truth its all a bunch of bs. Its actually been proven that it takes your body sometimes up to 72 hours to go into a catabolic/starvation state. On my off days from lifting I usually don't…
  • Never claimed to be an expert here in fact there's been multiple times on here I've stated that I am not in fact a nutritional expert, and all of you say I'm turning a blind eye to your "facts" when in reality all of you turn back to one thing, exercise. My argument has absolutely nothing, nothing, one more time NOTHING to…
  • Right, so you're telling me that with age it becomes harder to stop putting food into your mouth? You can't gain weight without eating nor can you lose weight without being in a caloric deficit. Stop trying to overcomplicate such a basic idea.
  • Although I typically don't support anecdotal examples I do appreciate it. Like I said I have no reason to anger anyone here but to continue allowing misinformation to be spread around on here isn't right. There are a lot of MD's out there who have were taught on old information. Unfortunately for them the world is an…
  • You've come to the right place MFP is full of motivated people looking out for one another and trying to achieve fitness goals as a whole. You've taken the first step and I wish you the best of luck with the help of MFP friends and a good diet/exercise plan you'll be achieving your goals in no time!!
  • Here you go with the complications again...sigh...
  • Disregard exercise right now it has nothing to do with weight loss. Let me break this down even more for all of you fitness guru's. There's 3500 calories in a pound of body weight. If in one week I stay in a 500 calorie deficit meaning after 7 days I've burned 3500 calories, what it in the world makes you think I being 22…
  • I'm sorry but you're all incorrect here. Age is of no significance in regards to weight loss. It all comes down to one thing if you are eating less calories than you burn you will lose weight. How can age have any affect on that at all?? People need to stop overcomplicating things that don't need to be. Estrogen also has…
  • Age absolutely does NOT affect your ability to lose weight. I'm not far from St. Louis and I've also created a group page for anyone to join and ask questions like these its called No Bull****; Just real, honest answers. You're more than welcome to join and ask whatever you'd like but I can assure you that age plays no…
  • calories are all that really matters
  • absolutely not as long as you're still under the calories nothing can happen.

  • Hello there! Feel free to add I'm always looking for good new MFP friends!
  • I was honestly thinking that but I have a feeling I'd find it difficult to stop at only a quarter lol usually I have a hard time stopping at half. I may take you up on that though cause I do really love cereal as well.
  • brb now trying to fit low fat pop tarts into my macros...cause that sounds absolutely delicious (srs)
  • Can't lie sounds delicious but I'm already using peanut butter in my homemade protein peanut butter cups that i'll basically be eating with the ice cream so more pb would seem to be overkill.
  • Oh lawd^ did you just graduate the from the broscience academy? Sugar causes fat? I'll just save time and not respond to that.
  • Raise them I know everyones giving nearly the same feedback and its hard to do after a large weight loss but for you're own health you need to get them calories up a little bit.
  • Diet, diet, diet. That's truly all their is to it seeing ab definition is determined by one thing. That one thing is that your body fat is at a low enough percentage to make abs visible. Don't get me wrong crunches can make the ab muscles larger and stronger but we all have abs its just we have layers of fat covering them…
  • Haha I agree with you on so many levels when it comes to personal trainers. Honestly it was something I considered but I truly feel as if their whole profession is slowly being down graded more and more. I used to think of them as high and mighty knowing so much about the body, nutrition, and fitness. Then I saw like 10 of…
  • I suppose its a way to "change up" your old diet but essentially it's nothing more than just doing what you're already doing in another fashion. I mean in all reality you're just keeping your weekly caloric intake under the microscope now as opposed to the daily. However, it does give you the opportunity to splurge on some…
  • MFP is definitely amazing for its motivation everyone on here is honestly so nice and genuine I'll add you as well!
  • I know you were originally asking for foods so I would suggest foods really low in fat and high in carbs. My personal favorite are either skim milk and any type of cereal really (frosted flakes have 0 fat) but tons of other have small amounts like 2 or 3 grams. Fat free ice cream is a personal favorite. However I almost…
  • Get the protein down to 140-150 grams/day and up the carbs to 320 at least and you should definitely be shooting for at least 3000 cals I typically cut on about 2400 cals. Carbs are essential to bulking but you'll need to lower your fat a little bit as well something like 60 grams or so should be sufficient.
  • It's honestly completely pointless and a waste of time but essentially you have low, medium, and high carb days typically 3 medium 2 low 2 high. Again, it truly is just a waste of time it isn't going to increase weight loss or have any serious affects on your weight in general.
