1. Bea ble to do 500 sit ups/crunches every day like I did 10 years ago! (250 in the morning, 250 in the evening). 2. Run a 5k and work my way up to a full marathon. 3. Be able to do just one perfect push up, and just one pull up. That's all I've got for now, but I'm sure I'll think of more!!

I usually just use tuna, light/fat free mayo (15-25 cals/TBS) and a *kitten* ton of black pepper. That's all I need for my tuna sammiches!

Canoe/kayak stores? How big you talkin? lol

Wow, great feat!! Congratulations! :) Very inspiring. I'm 320lbs and I'm always concerned about running with so much weight on me (even though I LOVE to run - I just can't lol), but reading your story makes me want to get out and start right away!! Thank you. :) Love and Alohas, Ihilani Kapuniai

There will be conflicting research everywhere you go about anything you eat/drink. I can only speak from experience that coffee has actually helped me, especially with cravings. If I drink a cup of coffee (preferably with some - or a lot of - creamer), it'll keep me satisfied for a few hours, which is more than I can say…

Damn you, ACG... so much for my contemplation, I'ma make some killer brownies now lol

I would think it's because of the protein/healthy fat combo. Meat = protein and nuts = protein and monounsaturated fatty acids ("MUFA's aka healthy fat), which "revs your metabolism" and keeps you fuller longer. That's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Of course! I always use different kinds of beans together. When I make chili, I'll use kidney beans, pinto beans and black beans. Those are usually the only ones I eat, so I mix them up in almost everything I eat that requires beans lol

Technically you don't need to work out at all to lose weight - diet alone will suffice. However, if you're also thinking of overall health and being fit, exercise is ideal. 20-30 minutes per day is recommended. If you can do more, great, more power to you - that'll help speed up your weight loss. If you can't do more, any…

lol That's America for ya!

Thank you all! Been hearing a lot that it tastes like cheese, so I put some on my beef stew last night and it was actually pretty damned good!

LOL! I literally just lol'd.

I've been wanting to know... can you microwave those morning stars burger? If so, does it taste any different than if you were to grill or bake it? Just wondering. I've been wanting to try the morning star chicken patties, but not if I have to bake or grill it. ;P

I think Oatmeal is a wise choice, compared to ice cream or cookies or something. It'll satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you full for the night. One of my favorite oatmeals is instant strawberries and cream. Then there's the Lavish Dark Chocolate oatmeal, with which I like to eat with some dark chocolate chips and coconut…

Here are some alternatives: -Peeled Zucchini -"Spaghetti" Squash -Shirataki Noodles/"Miracle Noodles" -Tofu noodles My all time favorite: Fiber Gourmet light pasta. It's REAL pasta, but it has more fiber added in so the fiber count is up while the calorie count goes down. It's 40% lower in calories than standard pastas, so…

Holy cow. How many calories were you consuming? And how much would you typically burn in a workout? That's a huge loss! Congrats.

I like to slow cook a mix of black beans and pinto beans (in their own juices) with a couple smoked hamhocks, salt/pepper and bacon bits. SOOOOO yummy. I don't eat the hamhocks (yuck - my hubby does lol), but I LOVE the beans - the hamhocks give them so much flavor, even without that much spices. And the bacon bits are…

There are a LOT of other foods out there that are healthy and calorie dense that they could consume to meet their caloric needs. I highly doubt their fast food consumption is primarily out of necessity. It isn't hard to reach 6000-12000 calories worth of healthy foods - believe me, I've done it PLENTY of times. I…

Hell yeah! I used to play basketball in High school and, considering all that I ate, that's what kept me at a healthy weight. My hubby, who is 39 and in pretty good shape, LOVES basketball - plays it a few times a week and lost about 10lbs in the last couple months. That's the only exercise he really does these days. I'm…

I used to eat a banana with 2 tablespoons of nutella every day for breakfast years ago, and nothing bad ever came of it. If your calorie budget can accomodate it, eat it. I could never give up the things I love to eat for the sake of losing weight, because that's not what a lifestyle change is about. ;) You can eat…

Cake isn't going to change your situation. About possibly losing your job... if that's true, be proactive about it and start looking for something new NOW. Go online and start job hunting - that should keep you busy enough to not think about cake... for right now, anyway. If you get too depressed or stressed out, go for a…

Cardio is definitely NOT required to lose weight, contrary to popular beliefs. Years ago I lost 85lbs in 9 months by Strength Training ONLY. Personally, I think strength training is way better and would have better results anyway. I wouldn't even worry about cardio, because even some strength training workouts will get…

I don't think that's mean. There must have been a time or two in your life where you've said, or thought of saying, or even just thought of something mean. And your BF shared it with you because, well, he's your BF. My man and I share EVERYTHING with each other, even if it hurts our feelings, because we're just that good…

Is 115 really overweight for her height? It doesn't seem like much to me. My sister is 15, 5'2" and 296lbs. Anyways - my suggestion be to definitely refrain from telling her she's overweight. The last thing your daughter needs is a punch to her self esteem before she hits high school (cause high school will do the job for…

No, I don't think it's bad. Just be careful. Fiber helps your digestive tract and makes you "go" more, which is great... however, TOO much fiber could lead to an adverse affect and might actually cause you to feel painfully bloated. I once ate almost an entire box of Fiber One cereal for dinner, not including the fruits…

Awesome... I tried mapmyrun, but I couldn't print anything out without having to "upgrade", and by that I assume they mean pay a little something lol I'll try google maps. Thank you!

Um... yeah, I see absolutely no problem with him working out with you. I really don't understand your concern. Exercise is good for anyone and everyone. You shouldn't worry about your 10 year old "bulking up", just be glad that he wants to be active, and consider it special quality time between you two. Go for it. Love and…
