Yes that's true, I just meant that some weeks I wasn't losing an ounce. But the weight seemed to fall off 2-4 lbs at a time when I was losing. But some weeks I was just like "What is going on? I should be losing!". Haha. Though in the end it was totally worth it. 24.4 lbs down, 30-35 to go!

Thanks, great idea! I am not down to my goal weight yet though. :) Have another 30-35 lbs to go!
-
2nd follow up: So it's been 10 weeks and I'm down 23.2 pounds!!! I surpassed my goal of 18-20 lbs lost in 10 weeks! It can be done, folks! <3

Current weight: 179.4 End of July goal weight: 174 I've lost 19.2 lbs in 9 weeks so I feel confident about this next goal! Let's do this! I plan to swim at least 1-2x a week for my exercise!

Good luck!

Thank you so much :)

Just want to follow up on this thread and say that YES, it can be done! I made this thread as a long shot hope to lose 18-20 lbs in 8-10 weeks. Well, we are right in the middle of the 9th week right now and I've lost 19 lbs!!! All by eating low carb/keto, not even calorie restricting, just eating til satisfied! It can be…

When you think salami and cheese is a perfect breakfast choice.

Coffee is a treat I don't want to give up. :) Being able to drink it makes LC/keto more manageable for me and allows me to go out with friends and always have something I can order, a black coffee, pretty much anywhere we would go.

I throw ground turkey in a pan with butter, then when it's fully cooked I add in some fresh raw spinach and let it wilt, add taco seasoning, add cheese and let it melt, and then serve with a little sour cream. This is such an easy go-to meal for me and is filling and delicious!

I hear ya. My daily coffee drink was one of the only sweet things I had besides fruit. So I miss that sweet coffee flavor for sure. Search on Google "Keto Starbucks drinks" and many ideas will pop up! They have a Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup which I think is a good substitute. Try it with heavy whipping cream at Starbucks.

I haven't had any fruit since going LC, but as the warm weather starts rolling in, fruit is sounding so good to me right now. I'm thinking of allowing myself perhaps 1 day a week where I can eat all the fruit my heart desires.

Wow how interesting! I haven't had much trouble falling asleep, but seem to wake up more throughout the night. Should I try this when going to bed, or once I wake up in the night?

Ate peanut butter by the spoonful last night... and managed to drop nearly 2 lbs! I've been stuck at 187 for the past couple of weeks and today I dropped to 185! I also think I drank more water than usual yesterday, so maybe that helped too?

Been sick (upper respiratory infection) for the last week, but managed to still eat on plan.

I've come down with something. Perhaps a bad cold, hopefully not worse than that. I've still been sticking with LC but probably wont log my food as much until I'm feeling better. But I'm still sticking with the WOE which I'm happy with and proud of myself!

This is how a lot of us got overweight, hard to hear but true... I'm not just talking about you, I'm talking about most overweight people (myself included). Overestimating burns and underestimating how many calories are in something we're eating. The only workouts I log are things like intense bike rides, long uphill…

I found my way to this lifestyle by listening to my body. I had part of my colon removed about 4 years ago. Ever since then, I've had digestive issues. They had become my 'normal'. One day I just kind of realized it was CARBS that were giving me the issues! I just came to that conclusion myself, after seeing how my body…

What he doesn't understand is that he'll gain all the weight back, plus probably way more.

I'm keto-ish too! :)

- zucchini noodles (aka zoodles) - pineapple Crush singles to-go packets - mince turkey or beef - vanilla ghee - heavy whipping cream in my coffee - eating more pepperoni and cheese

Good for you doing it though! :)

Had a great day! I kept my carbs to 19g (or about 6g net)! My lowest carb day so far on this lifestyle! I also went for a good bike ride tonight! I know I'm exercising but I'm really hoping for a loss in the next few days... Will really give me a boost. :)

Scale is still stuck. But I'm not feeling discouraged. I have increased my exercise, which could be why my body is holding onto weight? Interestingly, I've been a lot less hungry the past 2 days which I think is a good sign that my body is getting used to this WOE and that I'm getting enough fats and protein to satisfy…
-
Could it also be needing more sodium that is the hunger signal?

That sounds SO satisfying and very similar to something I used to get daily at a resort in Hawaii when my parents had a timeshare there. Every morning I'd have a homemade granola that had huge dried/toasted coconut flakes and macadamia nuts in it. Mmmm! I'm going to need to try your recipe!
-
This is what I do too. Real butter, organic coconut oil, and extra virgin olive oil. These fats are healthy!
-
I believe it! :o

If you're feeling 'starvation', you probably aren't getting enough calories. I started LC 20 days ago and I haven't been starving once. I gorge myself on things like eggs, bacon, turkey burgers, yogurt, protein shakes (LC ones of course), salads full of veggies and chicken or turkey, bison burgers or beef burgers, etc.…
